Westbrook's ability to score is not in question. His decision making however, is.

He's shooting the same percentage as Rose while scoring a couple points less, averaging about the same amount of assists, and averaging more rebounds while also shooting the 3 ball better.

Note: I don't think he's better than Rose or anything, I'm just pointing out that they're playing pretty much the same right now.

So mad I missed the game. Saw the highlights though, ridiculous clutch shots on both sides.

Last night was a great night of playoff basketball.

But Westbrook has Durant, even if he doesn't pass him the ball, and Rose doesn't. If Rose had that scorer on his team, he'd probably be in the Conference Finals by now...

I guess Westbrook is MVP calibur now

Man I hear some of the funniest things sometimes

It takes more than just having the ability to score and as we can all see
Westbrook is NOT the leader even of the Thunder, let alone would he be terrorizing the NBA if he had less help on the wings

Id love to see a KD and Harden for Bogans and Deng swap and see how great Russell would be.

That's really just speculation. Nobody has any idea if they would have beaten the Grizzlies by now.

And the point is that both of these guys are forcing it right now in my opinion. Granted Rose has more reason to force it, but last night, Russell played a very nice game, better than most of Rose's performances this postseason minus the 44 point game or whatever it was.

No he has not. I don't know where you are getting that from but the numbers say otherwise. Rose has the higher PER, TS%,eFG%,ORtg, the better DRtg, and more offensive, defensive, and overall win shares. So while both guys FG% is low in the playoffs the number still say Rose has been the more efficient and impactful player.

You dont have to put a "defender" on Westbrook, he's going to do his same driving left hand wreckless layups and pullup jumpers regardless of who is out there.

Let Westbrook go for 60+, everyone would criticize him (win!), Durant will be frustrated he isnt getting the ball (win!) and the rest of your players arent getting in foul trouble because they are just standing around watching Westbrook do his thing (WINWINWIN!)

Just great, the one time I decide to go to bed early thinking"Hey the Grizz are up 17, they won't blow it" & it turns into the best game of the Playoffs so far

Despite the fact that OKC has a potential championship contending team, they also could have a potential powder keg with this Durant/Westbrook thing going on. Brooks is going to have to earn his paycheck in this off season because he's going to have to get those two on the same page of winning. And in order for them to win he's going to have to define the roles for these guys. That means, one is going to have to step into the spotlight and be 'The Man'. And the other is going to have to support him along the way. The only way I see this becoming a championship team is Durant continuing to be the primary scoring option for that team and Westbrook supporting him along the way.

I don't understand how it's possible that Rose has a higher eFG%. eFG is FG% adjusted for the fact that 3 pointers are worth more. Rose is shooting like .2% better from 2 point range and Westbrook is shooting almost 10% better from 3 point range or something like that. That doesn't make any sense.

Edit: I was right about the .2%, but Westbrook is only shooting 7% better from 3 point range. Still means that Westbrook should definitely have a higher eFG% though.

Edit 2: I just looked up the formula for eFG. I don't get how cutting the number of 3 pointers in half somehow makes 3 pointers worth more...
