      Yeah. What squid said.

"No" means "no". It's not all that complicated. If this whole Kobe mess has any upside, I'd hoped that young men would learn that simple lesson. I guess not.

Re: Once again behold the All Things KOBE thread...

Does anyone know what date rape is considered to be?

From what was said he asked her to kiss is genitals after the act was done.

It was also said that she said no a couple of times. If that is true he's in for a long year.

Trying to discredit the woman may not hold water due to the type of evidence that the DA has. People aren't thinking about that, but what she did 6 months ago cannot affect any body marks and from what I heard also, he had blood on his shirt from her, so he made her bleed some.

Also I was listening to kfi640 am yesterday here in LA and one of the reporters attorney's asked the judge why the audio tape of Kobe wasn't used yeasterday, and he told him it was too damaging (he really said it another word that means condemning) to Kobe to bring it out in the preliminary.

Kobe apparently didn't know he was being recorded when the sherrifs were intervewing him when he lied to them, and no telling what he said, and how it all links to the evidence. Kobe made a mistake doing the interview instead of saying something like I'm not talking until my lawyer is present.

I really believe that the prosecuter knows somethings we don't know yet, and it looks like Kobe is in real trouble. If he did it, he's gone, or on probation, if he didn't do it, that girls reputation will be shot for life.

Interesting, it sounds like a lot of people are leaning towards kobe being guilty, when what stood out to me was that all this choking occurred leaving scars....yet no one who saw her saw these scars until a day and a half, to two days later. I think she's in for a long court battle to even come close to getting this proved. Between the consensual kissing, the "sneaking away to go to his room", her being forcedly bent over a chair, the "you're not going to tell anyone about this right" comments while she was being raped, and the fact that she left the room brings in plenty of possibile scenarios. The two suicide attempts in the same year will definitely play a role in how she handles things like rejection, being used, or just flat out being dissed in a hotel room with respect to coping skills. When a detective says that he didn't see any marks on her, and then pictures surface with markings on her chin, and neck...something doesn't add up. If she had went directly to the hospital after this took place, and it was on the record that she had all these scars, that's one thing, going home or whatever else she did, and then reporting this is a whole 'nother thing. That being said, if he did do this to her, throw the book at him.

I know she didn't say she had scars. I believe that was some of the info that was leaked awhile back. The DA didn't realease any info up until now.

By the way Driddy, it was said that she didn't sneak up to his room, but she went when her shift was off. The bruises was said to be on her face, and not her neck, which a reporter on fox last night on Greta said it was a half a penny size mark on her neck also. If it was more, it could've just been that she is the kind of person that marks up easily. However it went, we'll see it, because the hospital and police took photos, long before any of her friends saw her.

I don't think we are going against Kobe, but we've only heard the prosecution tell a tidbit of her story, but we haven't heard anything from Kobe's team yet. He'll get his chance in court for sure. I think we can all agree though that it's not looking good for him at the moment. The entire story ahs been weird up until now.

And on a side note, the defense team is not presenting us anything credible about the story, they only slang mud at the girl so far, so we don't know how he looked at it, and again, if she said no and he didn't stop, Colorado is the wrong place for him to have gotten into this kind of trouble.

The scary thing is, this could have been any of us at one time or another.
