Re: Once again behold the All Things KOBE thread...

Hehe, I'm gone for a couple of days, and this place is crazy. Funny stuff tho.

Anyhow, I have some thoughts on Mr. Bryant.

First of all, that boy hogs the ball too much. I've watched all the games this year so far, and to me, Kobe looks like he forces it way too much. He needs to learn to use his teammates better. You would think he would have learned by now. He's in his 8th year in the L already. Damn man, get a clue, pass the ball. He a great player, no doubt, but he could be so much better. A lot of times, I see guys passing the ball to him, and then he just goes at it. Not really caring what everyone else does. Every now and then he'll pass the ball, but for the most part, he'll just take it himself.

Second, I think that all this talk of Kobe wanting to be like MJ is really old. I don't even want to get into it, but just wanted to say that there will never be another MJ. No one will score like he did. He was an awesome scorer coming into the L, then made his game all-around. Let's just leave it at that.

Is it ball hogging when you know that if you shoot it instead of a teammate, you have a greater percentage of scoring??? And don't bring up Shaq shooting percentage cause he always gets the ball when he is in the right position, when he's not, I hope and expect for Kobe to shoot it regardless if he's open or not, and I think Phil feels the same way, but won't admit it.

And yeah, the Kobe wanting to be Jordan crap is really old. People only say that because when they see Kobe, it reminds them of Jordan, and they hate that!!!! Jordanlovers are usually Kobehaters. And you're right, there will never be another MJ unless someone in the future who's name is Michael Jordan enters the NBA, but it's totally bogus to assume that noone will ever be better than MJ, that's just a stupid comment. REMEMBER, we see the flaws of the present, but regarding the past, when it comes to things we love, we only remember the good.

It is ball hogging, cause I don't think he has a greater percentage of scoring all the time. He makes things too hard on himself. I'm just saying that he really does need to use the guys around him better. Kobe needs to be creating more and shooting less. He has to pick his spots better. That's all I'm talking about.

You can't tell him that some of his shots aren't forced. I'm not talking about all of them, cause he shots a lot within the offense. But there are those times, where I see an open teammate, with a high percentage shot, and kobe just goes for it. That is what bugs me. Anyways.

And as for MJ, I remember the bad. Like when he beat the Lakers all those times. That bastard.

For the record, I don't like MJ nor Kobe. I respect both of their games, but not them.

And as far as Kobe imitating MJ and how "old" it is-- Of course it's old, but someone needs to remind Kobe of the same.
