    yeah, pierce is one of those guys, as well as Carmelo i think. if he gets the ball on the wing in the midrange its over for the defender.

        If you base it off the playoffs Dirk's fundamental layup was pretty good in crunch time too

              this shows that his footwork in addition to the fadeaway essentially negates the defense. either he misses it because he was going to miss, or he makes it. the defense is just there for aesthetics.

              I've seen it blocked a few times... way back.

                yeah, i know t-mac got it once. i'm sure others have as well. it's not the sky-hook by any means, but there are essentially only three unblockable shots in the history of the game (shaq's power dunk, kareem's sky-hook and dirk's flamingo fadeaway). i still think that, for a move he uses as often as he does, it's pretty damned effective and reliable.
