I don't agree to compare players not of the same position but Rose over Wade is a joke.
Howard had Rashard Lewis and Jameer Nelson along side of him during his title run. All 3 were All Stars in 2009.

Dirk has a case but I can remember Jason Terry bailing the Mavs out of some games this postseason, including the Finals. He didn't just hit a shot like Paxson/Kerr but he CARRIED the team. In fact, I could go as far as saying that he was key in the win versus the Lakers as well.

Dirk gets the glory but c'mon now... he's not carrying bums to the title/Finals. LBJ carried legit bums to the Finals. Lets keep that real...
In the unspeakably pathetic East. Dirk's road to the Finals this year was treacherous.
"In the morning he would read the Bible with another coach. Then, in the afternoon, he would go out and cheat kids who had probably saved up money from mowing lawns to buy those raffle tickets. That's Jim Tressel."

again your assuming Dallas had more talent than Cleveland when in reality both teams had a nice collection of roles players

Big "Z" was comparible to E.Dampier was he not?

Delonte West was a streaky shooter much like Jason Terry was he not?

Dallas had some nice young players during their 1st Finals run Josh Howard, Marquise Daniels and Devin Harris but none of those guys were even at their peak at that time.

They were no better than B.Gibson at the same stage of their career's

Could it be possible that Dirk is just one of those True Franchise players who makes others around him look better than than they truly are and yet people tend to over look that aspect or impact of his presence?

I believe Dirk doesn't get enough credit for what he's done in his career playing without a single other Super Star for 13 years and no Nash didn't take his game to the next level until he left Dallas.

He's played with exactly 2 All-Stars in Dallas in the last 6 years Josh Howard and J.Kidd as i mentioned before and they were both injury replacement players

Did you guys know that for all the flack Nowitzki takes even before the Finals this year he was 4-0 in games 7's in his career?

How many people would have thought Dirk was undefeated in those types of pressure games?

Did you know that Dirk in elimination games during his career was 11-8 and in those games he avg

28.3 PPG
48 FG%
12.1 RPG

show me another player on that list right now that has put up those types of numbers in that situation

For all the hype of Kevin Garnett he's never come close to those type of playof numbers yet most people will tend to think Garnett has been a better player throughout his career than Dirk yet he's had the same amount of success from a team standpoint....but less from a individual standpoint in the post season

If those numbers i posted was put up by LeBron or Durant people would call them unstoppable....

For all the flack he's taken in his career there was a misconception that Dirk has never played well in the post season yet his post numbers rank right up there with the greatest playoff performers in NBA history throughout his career

Only objection I have with your post, Playmakers, is comparing West to Terry. They're different kind of players anyway but Terry's better now, was much better before, has experience as a top scoring option on a team and general experience in pressure situations. I agree 100% with the overall theme of your post though. I'd compare Terry's series to Jamison having a big game or two... or if we're looking at Lebron's championship appearance team, maybe Marshall (he was on that squad, right?).

Yea I don't know... I'm still waiting to see Rose make some plays on the defensive end. Not saying he doesn't play defense. I just want to see more of this from game to game from Rose.

But yea I still think CP3 is better overall. But at the end of the day they are different types of points guards.

Biased but I still feel like CP3>Rose. Other then the biased opinion, I like effectiveness over flash and CP3 may have one of the most well rounded effective games in the NBA.

His FG% is crazy good(last year it went down a little then normal), 3PT shot has really improved over last 2-3 years, Always among league leaders in steals, Assist/TO rate outstanding, etc.

I just don't see that from Rose other then he can put up some of the stats, but not nearly as effectively as others imo.

Your math is all wrong. Here is the correct answer:
Rondo < Williams < CP3 < Rose

Now, next problem:
Jamal Crawford ? Jordan Crawford

I think the point guard war is

CP3
Deron Williams
Derrick Rose
Nash
Rondo
Westbrook

But my whole point is that from a game to game. CP3 does every the other guys under him on that list do. Derrick Rose is the best scorer of the group. Rondo and Westbrook bring defense. Nash is probably the best passer/shooter. Deron Williams is basically CP3 without the big steal numbers on defense. I feel CP3 brings all this together from game to game. (even though he is the shortest of the whole group).

And to the people who think I'm saying Rose doesn't play defense. That is not what I'm saying. He just doesn't make as many plays at the defensive end as CP3, Rondo and Westbrook does. He is kind of just on soild. Maybe because he has to spend that enegry at the offensive end. I think if he mixed in more passes on pick and roll plays. He could have more enegry on the other end. He defineitly has the tools to be dominate at that end (Like Kevin Durant).
