Re: Team USA 2012
Nah I know, lol. Most of his stuff is pretty funny but this last one just didn't make sense. Wouldn't have bugged me as much if it really was someone struggling with English rather than a fake guy writing broken English so bad it doesn't even add up.Comment

Watching footage from the 08, getting myself pumped....what a difference a couple of years makes...
Wade is still 'flash', Kobe looking spry, LeBron less tannish but still a freak, Melo with the quick step/bully ball

Re: Team USA 2012
I believe Wade will be Flash again next year, he just had knee surgery. Well, hopefully that'll refresh him...Comment

Re: Team USA 2012
- Michael Lee is out in Las Vegas to check on John Wall's progress with the Team USA Select Team, and he reports that things are a bit of a struggle for the Wizards' point guard. Wall admitted that he had some trouble with the pressure defense being applied to him during scrimmages, and observers note that Wall "has encountered some initial problems getting the team into sets and still needs to improve his jump shot." But he has improved since the first day and seems to be taking this seriously. [Wizards Insider]

Re: Team USA 2012
Does anyone here get the feeling that the US can drop a game here? Like they're overconfident a little?Comment

Re: Team USA 2012
Tomorrow they play the D.R., so that'll give us something to digest
I don't think they'll have any problems personally, outside of Spain, judging from 2008, 2010 and the fact that most of these guys have all played together now in international play, under the same coaches.Comment

Re: Team USA 2012
I'm not sold on the US' outside shooting.
It's just the whole comparisons to the Dream Team is rubbing me the wrong way.
The game against DR should be a dunkfest. I'm not sure if it will be a good game to gauge them.Comment

Re: Team USA 2012
There's only a few teams probably that can be a true gauge.
Spain will play the US in an exhibition, I wonder if both teams will take it seriously.
I'm not surely sold on their outside shooting and rebounding to a lesser extent but being honest with myself, those things aren't enough to even begin to doubt their chances at gold.
As far as the 1992 comparisons and commentary, they're probably just trolling more than anything. I don't expect that attitude to transform into anything negative when it comes to the actual games. Nor do I expect them to take the competition lightly
Coach K will not let that happen. LBJ will not let that happen. KD will not let that happen. CP3 will not let that happen... they have several no nonsense people on the team at every position and a no nonsense coach. They have never showed me anything to believe they'd take things lightly, neither in 2008 nor in 2010.Comment

Yeah I think whole '92 thing was just Kobe having fun with the question l, I think these guys have been here and know what's at stake...Comment

Re: Team USA 2012
Are you guys getting a chance to watch the practices live on NBATV?
It's pretty awesome.. lol
As an aside, just remembering playing at this summer camp going into 9th grade... I was pretty competitive, and every summer at the same camp we would divide into 4-6 teams and have a big tournament to end the camp... somehow we ended up with this "little" 6th grader on my team... I was like, wtf why do we have to get this kid?..... as really it was only a camp for 8th-12th graders
Well it's weird watching Kevin Love now on the same team as LBJ, KD and Kobe... LMAOComment
