as a Jew I am going to be so incredibly pissed off if my Christmas day tradition of Chinese food and NBA is ruined this year because Derek Fisher is a putz.As Shaquille O'Neal left the Suns practice court, he yelled out, "Alvin's the coach. We must be the Clippers. And I must be Olowokandi. Nooooo!" -

Have fun putting that UCLA degree to use, bro. I know I'm having an easy time doing so.

Re: NBA Lockout and Collective Bargaining Agreement Discussion
As much as I'm accredited with having an agenda. It seems like whatever the players/union says is just wrong to everybody. And at the same time everything the owners/league says something it's always right.Last edited by da ThRONe; 11-08-2011, 06:29 PM.You looking at the Chair MAN!

Re: NBA Lockout and Collective Bargaining Agreement Discussion
These guys...do they really think the deal is going to get better? Their strategy seems to be to just have faith that Stern will take pity on them eventually and give them their win. Their win is starting the season, that's how they save face right now.Comment

Re: NBA Lockout and Collective Bargaining Agreement Discussion
No they're calling the owners bluff basically saying if no major system changes take place from the current offer they wont accept, and the owners will just go on a straight 50-50 deal which is something I thought the NBAPA rejected previously
Fisher... the deal they offered Spreewell, he said it was a bad deal too, but tell me what it netted him to reject it?Comment

Re: NBA Lockout and Collective Bargaining Agreement Discussion
I will agree with pro-owners people here. Not sure what it is the players plan on changing for the better with time. Their two options are to play overseas and/or decert. None of which they seem serious about doing. Waiting the owners out isn't a viable option. You looking at the Chair MAN!

Honesty I read through most people comments here and don't see where that statement is an exaggeration. Either way that's the feel that I have gotten from most posters throughout the entire thread. You looking at the Chair MAN!

Re: NBA Lockout and Collective Bargaining Agreement Discussion
I think the NBAPA is just asking for a bone. Asking for Stern and the owners to give them something. Keep in mind that the players consistently are dropping its BRI demand. Went from 53 three weks ago to now they are willing to go to 50. The owners should give them something even if its as small as one more guaranteed contract year or sign and trades for tax teams.
Hunter: 5 major issues: repeater tax, escrow, sign and trade restrictions, "cliff" for teams that go into tax, mid-level for tax payers.
and LOL@ this meeting man.. what a sham
