Source near decert movement says Players not trumping Union, but ready to hand them the hammer if NBA does not negotiate in good faith

I still say the smartest way to solve this is to take the 5 systems issues: tell NBPA to pick three. If solution is reasonable, its adopted.

Any news about desert doesn't matter right now. If Stern sticks to the deadline then it really doesn't matter what the players do. The players will never accept a 47% with a hard cap deal.

Re: NBA Lockout and Collective Bargaining Agreement Discussion

If I'm Stern, I don't change the date at all. Don't give them any extensions or nothing.

And on the other side, if I'm the Players, file for decertification.

As a matter of fact, **** acting like gentlemen and putting on a front. I wanna see the ***hole sides come out of each side now because it's already a joke and circus so why stop at this point? Continue to entertain me like both sides have been doing throughout this whole process so like Throne brought up earlier, forget seeing updates about "progress being made". I wanna see updates about how Fisher is holding back players from hoping over the table and whipping MJ's ***. That's what I wanna see now.

Stern's not gonna back off. The players are wavering and lowering regarding BRI because they have no other choice than to do so. Then once 5pm passes tomorrow, they're going to start softening on other **** once they realize their reality.

So, they will get the players to vote to decert but they won't offer a vote to sign the cba?

Now the ship is still in the habour, but the anchor is up and so are the sails. But it's not too late for the owners to toss the players a bone before tomorrow's deadline that lead to some kind of hand shake deal.

              But I seriously doubt it.

Yeah it's clear the league plan on going about business as usual. Promoting the big name teams. And IMO insulting all fans trying to mask this money grab as a campaign for competitive balance.

I kind of figured they would at the very least meet tomorrow. If somebody doesn't blink by 5pm tomorrow I think it's safe to say no pro hoops this year. At least we will have some kind of long term clarity instead of cancelling games on a biweekly basis.

The NBA and NBPA are talking about meeting tomorrow. With that said, nothing has been finalized as of yet.

Wonder if Billy Hunter is "cool" with being unemployed.

If that's what decertifying leads to and he says he's cool with it then I have to imagine he's cool with being unemployed. It's not like he's hurting for money.

Is being the head of the players union his only gig?
