I hope this dude is wrong
Reason for pessimism: If (according to Kessler) the "real" cap on the BRI split that the players could possibly enjoy under the league's latest proposal--assuming very favorable revenue growth--is only ~50.2%, then will the owners REALLY be willing to concede much on the system issues only for that 0.2%?
Also, the league's latest proposal had a 49-51 band, meaning that the players' share of BRI could go down to as low as 49% if revenue shrunk greatly enough. With the backlash against both sides over this lockout, it is entirely possible that the league faces an uphill battle to get revenue growth back on track. Hence, a "straight 50/50 split" proposal from the players may actually be WORSE for the owners, in a sense, then what the owners have offered.
Totally disagree with that. One the "backlash" only becomes bad if this lockout stretches until after football season and/or they cancel a season. Right now the hardcore fans are frustrated but the casual fan could care less. If a deal gets done today, the season starts December 10th and the league will try to fit in 70 games or so. Hardcore fans will be satisfied and Casual fans wont miss a thing.
So the risk of revenues being significantly worse because of a backlash is slim. Also, this is going to be a 6-10 year deal. Its silly to the "backlash" if any would last the length of this deal.Comment

Re: NBA Lockout and Collective Bargaining Agreement Discussion
I'd rather it be short as well because at this point, they both know what they want now and it's just a matter of giving one side(Players) the table scraps as opposed to having them serve the meal and then have them lick the plates clean.
If 5PM comes and there's still no deal then tough ****.#RespectTheCultureComment

Yep. Again, if the owners arent willing to make significant strides we are going to have games cancelled in December. I dont know if the owners are willing to do that.Comment

Re: NBA Lockout and Collective Bargaining Agreement Discussion
I dont care how long it takes, but please please get a deal done today! plzzz. So I have a question. If they get a deal done today does that mean the season will start on dec 1st?? & so that means we only missed 1 month of nba? not bad at allComment
