Didn't hear this from any of the players, but an agent informs me that the NBPA held onto all player phones during rep meeting Tuesday.

Hate to say keep hearing, even after TUES story from my man @chris_broussard, that we underestimate how much small-MKT teams hate this deal

As I have been trying to point out any deal without a set limit on spending is a bad deal for small rev teams.

We are forgetting why we are here. We are here because of two reasons.

1 the league as a whole was losing money. This problem will be fixed.

2 teams needed a system in place to save them from themselves. This system not only fails, it makes it even worse. It's like raising the price of cigarettes and expecting and expecting people to stop smoking this won't work.

Number may not tell the whole story ,but they never lie either.

The amnesty rule will just let guys who are still very talented migate to big market teams for next to nothing because they are getting their money from other teams.

The stretch rule(I haven't seen it discussed here just other places) will have the same effect as the amnesty rule.
That's interesting, I haven't thought of it that way. Now you got me thinking.

And not getting very good feedback. Very few people with credible perspective are expecting a deal.

Prediction? Yes, PREDICTION. Will not be surprised to hear something along lines of: NBA deadline extended cause sides actively negotiating

Just in case you're worrying...they won't stop talking at 5 if they're still working. Deadline in play only if/when negotiations break off.
