Re: NBA Lockout and Collective Bargaining Agreement Discussion
If smart, the owners would have a clause in there that states that the players can't "strike" or proceed w/ a lockout until after the 6 years in their entirety are up. Which means no more.. brace for it... Leverage for the players.Twitter - WTF_OS

Re: NBA Lockout and Collective Bargaining Agreement Discussion
But after spending the last year talking about this lockout we just had, debating who had what, wasting our time with that....you think we wanna start talking about something that 5-6 years away from the possibility(which is what it is at this point)of this happening? Hellllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll no
I'll be glad when next Friday rolls around and we don't have to see this thread again LOL. Like King said, the words "lockout, leverage, BRI, percentages, discussions, union" need to be banned from this forum until then#RespectTheCultureComment

I'm with you on this thread. Once they sign the deal on Friday, I suggest this thread be closed and thrown away.Last edited by Dice; 12-03-2011, 05:12 PM.I have more respect for a man who let's me know where he stands, even if he's wrong. Re: NBA Lockout and Collective Bargaining Agreement Discussion
Unfortunately, since Disney owns ABC they'll have the most money to offer. And since ABC doesn't have the NFL and Monday Night Football, they'll have the cash to spend on the NBA. So unless ABC gets back the NFL, expect them to have the NBA on the next TV deal.I have more respect for a man who let's me know where he stands, even if he's wrong. Re: NBA Lockout and Collective Bargaining Agreement Discussion
Starting Monday:
Marc Stein tweets that as of 10 a.m. Monday, GM's can contact free agents about contracts but cannot conclude oral or written agreements. Similarly, coaches and players will be able to have contact at practice facilities come Monday but coaches still can’t oversee on-court workouts until camp opens, which is still Friday.
