Tax teams can sign and trade.
Tax teams can offer a 4 yr MLE but non tax can do 5.
In two years, every team will be forced to spend at least 90% of their cap.
Repeater tax is in for teams that are constantly over the tax.

The next couple of days should be interesting as far as ratifying the deal is concerned. I am glad the lockout is finally over.

I have to say my enthusiasm is curbed. This deal is great for the owners and terrible for everybody other than fans of large rev teams. If I'm an OKC or MEM type fan I'm ****ed. As a Hornets fan we will never compete for anything other than playoffs seeds. Heat, Lakers, Mavs, Knicks, and Nets for the life of this deal.

You aren't ****ed if you are an OKC fan...you have Durant, revenue sharing, an arena that generates money and an owner thats willing to spend.

They were on the verge of being title contenders. This CBA IMO kills any chances of that. Durant alone isn't enough to win it all. And soon he'll realize it and when his deals done or towards the end he'll leave like Garnett and/or James.

Explain that to me. Durant and Perkins are signed to long term deals. They will still have room under the cap to sign Westbrook and Harden. Even if it takes them into tax territory, they will have a revenue generating arena and revenue sharing that will help them handle some of the taxes.
