Yeah, I agree it can be done but if the players are doing it, look for a train wreck.

The only guys outside of the players who can help start their own league is probably their agents. But then again, your just replacing the current owners with the players.

Surprised it took THIS long to set this up because this should've been done a while ago while you had the chance to save the full season.

W..... T..... F..... are my initials. Come on.

Why not do this before they cancel some of the most entertaining games of the season. Would've loved to see Heat @MSG and several other opening week games.

I actually like that. There was a mediator involved with the NFL lockout final negotiations.

Usually a former federal judge or current attorney who serves as kind of a middle man. The way it works is both sides will meet with the mediator and give them a chance to give their side. Then he meets with each group individually to discuss the issues and help each side find a middle ground.

The mediator will then go from side to side with offers until either both sides agree or a side decides they arent willing to negotiate anymore. The mediator doesn't serve as a judge but he can help with the negotiation.

Not sure what to think of this. The good thing is that there is some sort of mediator(or legal referee) in this fight. The bad thing is that you add another lawyer in the mix. This issue already has too many lawyers. The main two culprits, Stern and Hunter, are lawyers by trade.

Lawyers are needed to settle this matter. Most commissioners and union heads are lawyers. These are complex legal matters.

                          Just saw that today

How do you get 2 million dollars, a million dollars every two weeks and you complain it aint enough?

Do you really believe anybody is going to think these guys are victims?

Killer part is that doesnt even include endoresements which some of them get anywhere from 25 million above and below...extra, and who knows what else they get money from

                          Get outta here with that

Yes, I know. I can be a little facetious when talking about lawyers. BUT I'm pretty sure there are a lot more lawyers involved besides Stern and Hunter. Whether directly or in-directly.
