Maybe he was joking but there is no video so how are we supposed to know? The person writing the article made it pretty clear Crawford was straight faced the entire time.

And no, there's no issue with someone wanting to be better than Jordan but look at the quote I posted. "I feel like I'm better than him, anyway.". He probably was joking but again, none of us know that for sure.

Just from the interviews I've seen Jordan do in the past, especially in college, it can be very difficult to tell when he is joking around because he says things so straight-faced. I know the author mentioned he/she couldn't tell. I thought the comment about his mom was hilarious.

I think he was kind of serious in a way with the feeling he could be better than MJ. Every guy should feel that way. Why aim lower? But I also think he was joking around on some of it too, especially bringing his mom into it.

I'm not mad at him. When I was a teenager my mom told me I was better than Jerry Rice. And I believed her.... kind of. Ok I didn't believe her. But all jokes aside I have no problem with what he said. I'm sure plenty of athletes feel like this.

Got no problem with him being confident just. I even gave him props for not settling for anything less.

However, you can still sound like an idiot even if you are confident which was all that I was saying. So yea, he's confident...but also an idiot for even saying that. (See Ryan, Rob)

And before anybody says it, if it was Deron Williams saying he is better than Magic Johnson, I'd call him out as well and say he's an idiot also.
