Re: LOL.. Shaq has a book forthcoming??
Hating another person who hasn't committed a crime against you or your family or anyone and just plays a sport for a living? That's pretty pathetic and sad.
I don't just mean casual hate, I was talkin passionate hate.
I understand dislike for personalities and rivals. That's the nature of sports. I'm talkin about the next level.
Now, I'm pretty much over the passionate hate part, but damn it if I didn't want to see LeBron ruin his career by injury last year...
I cannot explain it, and it really should not have meant as much to me as it did/does, but...oh well.
I think it's definitely a culture thing. In Cleveland, sports is pretty much all we have to entertain us. The NE is pretty much sports crazed. For you, in Cali, I don't think you'd be able to understand how personal it is for us in the NE.Too Old To Game Club

Honestly, EX, if you had someone do you really dirty like LeBron did to me, I think you'd know about passionate hate.

Re: LOL.. Shaq has a book forthcoming??
I get it. Cleveland sports has pretty much been a laughing stock for...I don't even wanna think about how long and LeBron was that guy that was going to change it all. It really does perfectly reflect Anakin Skywalker and the Star Wars story. All that was wrong in Cleveland's universe was supposed to eventually be righted with LeBron. The guy with the talent to legitimately be known as the best ever a guy who could legit be considered the best athlete we'd ever see in our lifetimes who went out in the most cowardly, disrespectful way imaginable.
It's like being a dork in school who everybody picks on all the time, landing the head cheerleader and actually seeing all those jokes and after school beatings go away because people have respect for you now. The relationship has lasted so long (even with you being paranoid that it's going to end at any moment) that it can't possible not be legit right? Then the week of prom she doesn't call you back, has you show up for prom to meet her and then when you get there, she's on stage announcing to the school that she's no longer dating you and is there with some other guy whom you then found out she's been dating this dude in secret for a while.
Maybe not exactly like that, but pretty damn close if you ask me lol.Comment

Re: LOL.. Shaq has a book forthcoming??
I'm guessing it's the ” this doesn't affect me in anyway shape or form but I hate LeBron James!” thing that so many people have this attitude. It's really annoying I understand from Cleveland fans but I'm talking complete and total randoms.Comment

Re: LOL.. Shaq has a book forthcoming??
Pretty much. But I still don't understand how you have to apparently only be from Cleveland to dislike LeBron. Dude did what he did and has continued to not let the heat from that act of douchebaggery die down before finding a way to continue exhibiting douchebaggery at every turn. If it just happened, people would be pissed because of the way he went about things but it eventually would have died off. Then the damn championship rally. Then posing and hand gesturing and continued screwups in interviews. Plus it didn't help that all the details on how he was getting down in Cleveland started coming out.Comment

Re: LOL.. Shaq has a book forthcoming??
Might not need to buy the book with everything that keeps leaking out everyday lol.
Shaq on Bosh:
Some guys come into the league without a ton of props, so there’s not a whole lot of pressure on them. Then they sign a big deal and all of a sudden they’re thrown into the spotlight. Chris Bosh is like that. He’s getting all this attention, so he starts believing he’s really good. C’mon now. We know better. He’s a player who can put up some numbers, but he’s not an elite player. He was in Toronto eight years and they were never a factor, never a playoff team. Don’t get with those other two guys and start pounding your chest. I ain’t buying it, and I’m not the only one.”
Shaq talking about Lebron, Wade, Kobe...Dawg:
“People ask me all the time: If you had to choose between DWade and LeBron, which would you take? Which one would you make the CEO? It’s really a tough question. LeBron is a better decision maker. DWade will hit more last-second shots. Lots of superstars in their position want and need to take the last shot. LeBron is more of an ‘opportunity’ CEO. He’s not afraid to take the last shot, but he won’t hesitate to pass it to an open Mike Miller either. So where do these two guys measure up against Kobe? Kobe is a scientific dawg. He works out every day, practices every day. Most of the other stars are just dawgs, not scientific dawgs. Me, I’m a freak-of-nature dawg because of my size. LeBron could be a scientific dawg like Kobe, but he’s got a lot going on like I did, so that’s preventing him from being one#RespectTheCultureComment
