Please you guys must be comics cause it seems like it's open mic night. And to say MJ was not a jumpshooter is silly. Jordan the dunker/slasher = no rings Jordan the jumpshooter = 6 rings. Anyways bumrush is saying Finley, Dirk and Jamison have no post game none at all that's sad. Do the Mavs still have Bradley? Um yeah they do, he's purely D though. And they really got ALOT smaller 1 inch to be exact. LeFrentz 6'10" Walker 6'9". And like I said before the reason Dirk and Finley don't get doubled is because of the great shooters around them. Not because they're not a threat down low. Crap, Finley has been regarded as one of the better posting guards for years now. Do a little research before you go posting how bad a move it was. I mean if you're such a great evaluator of talent what are you doing here arguing on a sports forum? Go get yourself a GM job in the NBA.

While I was exaggerating a bit at 90%, Dirk doesnt have the same body that Vlade or Sabonis had to play as a jumpshooting Center. Dirk would get roughed up a bit throught the season at center. As for only losing an inch of height well height isnt everything and this goes both ways. Take barkley who has said himself in his latest book that he is only 6'4", he dominated the boards and the post. Walker who is 6'9" is a shooter first, shooter second, passer third. He doesnt play inside. They need Jamison and Fortson to rebound badly! or else this trade is a bust.

Don't like the trade as far as this season goes, but make lots of sense for the future. You can bet that the Mavs will be making a trade at the deadline this year, maybe Big Z With only 2 years left on Walker's contract he has alot more trade value than Raef will ever have. Love the fact that they got rid of Raef's fat contract. can't wait to play with the mavs on ESPN baskeball

why does everyone keep saying that this trade is bad because now dallas doesn't have an inside presence? Lafrentz was NOT an inside presence. Well...he was a minute inside presence, but he got in foul trouble in the first five minutes of every game. Plus, he was soft.

Dallas isn't losing anything in this trade.

Plus it has been said that team chemistry will take a hit. What?! Lafrentz wasn't a leader or even a big part of this team. And Walker will gladly fit in, any way he can. He's on a contending team now.

From the Celtics standpoint, I think it was a good move. They get size in LaFrentz and they move Walker out seeing that they always wanted to get their SF Brown more minutes. I think they really like the HS player they picked up and they seem to have a decent team.
