Sorry to break this to you, but it looks like Delk will be backing up Finley at the SG position. Maybe if theres an injury then Delk will slide over to the point.

You wouldnt believe how this trade affects my fantasy basketball league, which just had its draft last night. The most seasoned fantasy veteran in our league just got better because he has Paul Pierce and LaFrentz and the dumbest guy in our league just got worse because he has Walker and Delk. Un-frickin-believable!

This is a terrible trade for Boston. What exactly were they looking for, because if they think Raef is going to help them in the paint, they're crazy. He may be a big body and can hit an outside shot here and there, but he wasn't worth Antoine Walker.

The only positive I can see coming out of this trade for the Celtics is Jiri Welsch who may have a big upside, even coming off the bench for Banks, but the C's took a big step back.

Donnie Nelson's view of the trade. Link. Here.

                  </font><blockquote><font class="small">Quote:</font><hr />
"We see Antoine as a triple-double guy," said Donnie Nelson, the coach's son and an assistant coach. "I know in some form or fashion at the end of the game you're going to see the Big Three and Antoine Squared."

Donnie Nelson said Nowitzki will get more minutes at center. Shawn Bradley and Danny Fortson, also acquired in the Golden State trade, will help man the position. Eduardo Najera could play there, too.

Delk will be a backup swingman, with Travis Best still the primary relief for Nash. Nelson said Delk may be able to provide some of the intangibles lost when Nick Van Exel was sent to Golden State.

All I can say is that now the Celtics really are Paul Pierce's team. It'll be interesting this season

LeFrentz may not be bad for boston at all cause the east is very week in the big mad department, so he maybe better off on the east. He may even play better knowing that the others guys he'll be playing against or are a little better then him or average. Think about it
