    Well, according to Broussard...

LAC willing to add Gordon 2 deal if Paul commits 2 "opt-in" to the final year of his deal, which would assure LAC of having him next 2 yrs

    Man, the saga continues, indeed.

        From Rotoworld:

"Chris Paul has decided that if he can't play for the Knicks (and Carmelo) or the Lakers (and Kobe), that he wants to play with Blake Griffin and the Clippers, according to Marc Stein.
As we reported earlier, Eric Gordon would likely have to be included in a deal for the Clippers to get Paul, but it's becoming clear that he wants to play with Griffin in L.A. In addition to Gordon, the Hornets reportedly want Chris Kaman, Eric Bledsoe, Al-Farouq Aminu and at least two future first-round picks in exchange for Paul. Obviously David Stern is trying to break the bank for Paul."

Isn't this practically their whole starting lineup? No thanks if I'm L.A.

This might be the first time, someone has ever voluntarily said, the WANTED to play for the Clippers lmao

The Los Angeles Clippers are close to acquiring All-Star point guard Chris Paul in a multi-player blockbuster trade with the New Orleans Hornets, according to a report in The Los Angeles Times.

In all seriousness though, If I'm the Clips, I keep Gordon at all costs.

Why? He's only 22, IMO going to be a perennial all-star, good on ball defender and when he's hot, he can score at will. He has to work on his efficiency, but I think he is key to the Clips success moving forward.

It's funny because I feel like this year Minnesota pick isn't a guaranteed top 5-7 pick because of the coaching and personnel moves they've made. I have all faith in Adelman especially after what he did for us in Houston, I'm actually expecting these Wolves to win at least 29 games (when you consider it's a 66 game season that's a decent amount).

Jordan getting that money makes me unbelievably thrilled and content about Gortat and his contract.

Only Gordon and Kaman would be starting unless they wanted Caron Butler to be the scorer off the bench.

But understand Chris Paul would speed up Blake's development. A great PG always makes a big man better, no matter what.

Plus, this could be their chance to actually compete with LA for the city?

I'f I'm the Clippers, I'd jump all over that. Who knows if Blake is planning on staying with the Clippers? If he has Paul finding him on the court, he'll be WAY more inclined to stay. They'll still have Caron on the wing, and I'd assume they would include either Trevor Ariza or Emeka Okafor. Possibly Jarrett Jack too.

I think CP3 can help BG develop. Having a guy that will set up for good plays and that can also avg a 20-10 and provide defense on the perimeter, can really inspire you. Keeping Gordon can also help.

Do you think Eric Gordon will stay though?

The SG class is weaker with Brandon Roy retiring. He's arguably the 3rd best one out there, though Monta Ellis might be better. (I consider Monta a better PG, honestly)

Gordon is good, but Paul upgrades that team TREMENDOUSLY. Paul took the Hornets to the Playoffs and competed with the Lakers by himself. He'd do the same with the Clippers, and he could help Blake develop into possibly the second-most dominant big-man after Dwight. If I'm the Clippers, I jump all over it.

I guess just dunking and catching alley-oops are considered offensives skills.

These ridiculous numbers being thrown around to above-average talent is why these owners keep losing money. They just can't help giving out huge sums of money, even though they have to realive they'll regret it later. Not one of Chandler, Nenê, Jordan or Marc Gasol have sniffed an all-star nod, but are apparently worth big money deals.

Jesus, these GMs and owners are dumb.

Off-topic: I truly believe if the salary restrictions hadn't been put in place, Tim Dunacn would've gone on to sign a 7 yr./$200 million dollar deal in his prime. He also wouldn't be with Spurs and neither would Pop, Ginobili or Parker.

If I'm correct, next year is Gordon's last year on his contract. By then, he could be one of the top guards in the league. He's gonna want to paid, and if I'm LAC, I'm unsure he's coming back to NO. The Clips gotta be proactive and realize this is a chance to jump up in the Western Conference.

I dont even watch Basketball like that(Just a casual fan), but after this offseason and me wanting to see how these rookies play out, I might watch alot more than I have in past years.

The Clippers are expected to match the offer for the 6-foot-11, 265-pound 23-year-old, but it sounds like that is OK with Warriors executive board member Jerry West.

“He’s a young, active player who is probably coming into his own,” West said. “Those are the kinds of players who people are willing to take chances on in terms of paying a lot of money. At the end of the day, you have to find out what’s in store for anyone. I’m just not really sure about him.”

Sorry to bring this up but I had to mention it cause Nick Friedell and KC Johnson, the two reporters from ESPN Chicago and the Chicago Tribune respectively are not Broussard like guys who don't have sources. Those two guys may not be national names, but they have they're sources in the Bulls and are legit Bulls beat writers. There aren't many, if any times that I can recall them reporting something NOT true about the Bulls. If they say the Bulls are getting involved in the talks, that's legit info.
