    LoL.

I'd take Sessions over Felton at this point. Felton might be having an "off year" but he's an expiring, and having him for half a year while he is already considered "damaged" doesn't do much for me. On top of that, he doesn't have the quickness of a guy like Sessions.

Is Felton better than Blake for the Lakers? Probably not, so I wouldn't even want to dump Blake in a Felton swap. Doesn't make any sense to me. At least Blake has been playing with this personnel for the last couple of years, and he's been building chemistry and playing well.

Felton was also taking 14.8 shots per game in NYK, more than Bynum and Gasol currently take with the Lakers.

      Are you serious?

Now I'm convinced you guys don't know what you want.

You guys want some sheep that brings the ball over half court...passes to Kobe and gets out of the way.

      Keep what you have then.

Yeah, I'm serious. Maybe you haven't watched much Lakers (I've watched every game this year), but I'm confident in saying that retaining Blake is more valuable than putting Felton into the lineup.

There's a reason he isn't even starting for Portland anymore. He isn't playing well. He's out of shape. He isn't a very efficient scorer, and he won't get very many shots while on the floor in LA (nowhere near the 14+ he was taking with NYK when he was average 17 points). You think Raymond Felton is going to command the offense over Kobe Bryant?

I by no means want a "sheep point guard" who passes to Kobe Bryant. What I do want is a point guard who can dribble penetrate, has athleticism, can get out on a fast break, can create with passing, and can drain the open three. Sessions fills that criteria, while I do think his higher 3 point % this year is flukey.

Felton? 24% from three, 36% from the field. I don't see LA completely changing their offense (Kobe being the main ball handler) in the middle of the season, while they are playing the most consistent basketball they have so far, to Felton. Sure, it'd be nice while Kobe is on the bench, but I'd take Sessions over Felton without blinking. Now, if Sessions has suddenly disappeared out of the picture, Felton is worth looking at. But not sure I'd give up Blake. Felton would be a good look if we didn't have to give up the only insurance policy we have at the point in Steve Blake, who knows the offense and how the pieces fit together already. Only 1/2 a season left to atone for that.

Somehow this is me saying Kobe-ISO is what I want. /Shrug.

It's like..nah...we don't want John Stockton. Runs too many pick & rolls.
Raymond Felton = John Stockton? LOL.

Just want pieces that fit into the scheme of what LA does. Kobe ball handling and in the mid/post, Bynum in the post, Gasol in the mid/post, PG's on the perimeter ready to take an outlet and either shoot the three or get it back to a big while they repost. Having a quick PG who can dribble penetrate (Sessions) and can create makes a great deal more sense than trading for Felton and losing Blake.

Joe Dumars has been active in trade conversations, looking for deals that can improve the Pistons in the long-term.

"In the vaguest terms I can, we tell teams that we're building, we're building for the future, and we're not going to do anything to jeopardize our future, we're not going to do anything to tie our hands going forward," said Dumars. "So with that being the basis, teams understand kind of what's available, and what's not, when you say that.”

In other words, Greg Monroe and Brandon Knight are unavailable, but they'll gladly ship Stuckey, Charlie V and Ben Gordon.

Yeah, like using up all of your cap space on Ben Gordon and Charlie Villanueva.

Anybody know what's going on with Wilson Chandler? I know the Nuggets own his rights but Wilson wants to play as a starter and the Nuggets aren't guaranteeing him that. Heck, I'm wondering if he can play two-guard and come to the Bulls?

Nuggets still own his rights IIRC if he comes back past restricted free agent deadline. Some craziness like that.

That would be crazy. Since he has been in the league, I've always traded for him in my franchise.

He would be a real nice option for a long term companion with Rose.

Chandler story is interesting... if he comes back, Denver wants to get a long term deal done. If he doesn't want to do that then they won't bring him back. What does this mean? A possible S&T.

Thing is the Bulls don't have much to give. No expiring contracts big enough.

Denver has all the leverage right now and they will only sign him on their terms(meaning not going to overpay for him and on long term deal). My guess is Chandler wants a shorter deal or/and more money and he wants some leverage on his side by waiting until the summer when more teams will be involved. Chandler already came out and said he is fine with coming off the bench as long as he gets starter minutes.

Speaking of Dumars, I love what he has done .... for the Nuggets. Darko over Melo, AI for Chuancey, and my favorite giving up Afflalo for scraps.

Not trying to troll or start a flame war...but is Dumars reaching Isaiah Thomas levels.

Yeah I know he won a championship and that speak volumes. But as far as draft, trades and bad contracts...what do you guys say.

Arguably Isaiah was a better drafter than Dumars...?

The Dumars dilemma in my mind comes down to 1 thing: Did he get lucky, or did he brilliantly construct that squad out of nowhere?

Take Chauncey for example, teams weren't exactly beating down his door, though he was up and coming at the time. Did Dumars see a star caliber player or were we just in the market for a PG and he was the best guy willing to sign?

Big Ben. Was he pure luck? Did JoeD know what he was doing during the Grant Hill S&T to get Wallace and Chucky Atkins? Or was it simply a case of Orlando clearing space to sign Hill to a bigger deal and decided to cut ties with a good rebounder to make the numbers work?

Tayshaun. Rarely used as a rookie, then came out of nowhere to put the clamps on TMac in the playoffs and earned a starting role after that. Seems to be one of Dumars' best picks, but who knows if that was the plan all along. He seemed to skinny to be that type of perimeter defender.

Stackhouse to Washington for Rip and Hubert Davis. This was my favorite Dumars move because it seems to be the least likely "luck move". Shipping Stack to the Wiz (or were they the Bullets?) for Rip worked just as you'd hope when making that deal. Giving up the volume scorer for an efficient one that shouldn't command massive money (hehe).

But when you look at the other moves Dumars has done since assembling that team, it's hard to decide if he masterfully constructed that unit or if he simply lucked out, especially with Big Ben. I don't want to can him just yet, especially since we do have somewhat of a core started with Monroe & Knight (and possibly Stuckey or Jerebko too) and another lottery pick coming plus 2 second rounders. Also hopefully Singler will come back from overseas next year but I doubt that. Either way it's starting to look less bleak so MAYBE Dumars knows what he's doing, and CV & BG were "unlucky moves" instead.

Boris Diaw asked for a trade yesterday and didn't play in the Bobcats come from behind win over the Magic last night. I had been hoping they'd get rid of him for quite some time now, they won't get much if anything for him.
