I don't see Rondo getting traded at all. Unless he gets a major haul which is unlikely.

I get the all the talk because he's BOS only major asset and has a good contract . But It's just talk, Rondo rumors always come up this time of the year.

I think it holds more weight when there were already confirmed rumors of the Celtics trying to trade him before the season even started.

Maybe to the Kings? They have some pieces that the Celtics would potentially be interested in and their draft picks this year would have value.

Idk, just throwing them out there.
Kings probably have the most attractive pieces to offer anyone for a superstar in my opinion. Draft picks, Evans, Cousins, Fredette (if a team is particularly high on him), etc. If it weren't for the fact that Dwight would never re-sign there, they would be the perfect team to go after him in my opinion. Another team with a lot of attractive pieces would be the Nuggets, but I would imagine they'll stay put since their team is just playing so well together right now.

And yeah, Rondo and Cousins on the same team would just be flat-out hysterical.

Why would the Pacers trade George for Rondo though? No big for small...

I think if anyone gets moved from the Pacers, it'll probably end up being Granger. Don't know why I think that... but it's a possibility.

If I had any affiliation with NJ I'm talking to the big guns and doing whatever it takes to get Rondo from Bean town and Dwight from Orlando and then I'm saying Hello Brooklyn. It isn't a sure shot deron will stay so I'd ship him to Boston and find a third team to help reel Dwight to NJ

Of course it's a sure shot, especially if we get Duhwight. It's that simple.

Rondo is going to be a real difficult move. He's sort of a strange case where he's a very good ball player BUT he's not a franchise player. I picture him going to the Lakers or the Magic(with Dwight Howard on the team) and actually helping them out. BUT what are they going to give the Celtics in return that has value that's even close? And sorry, I don't see the Magic trading Howard for him NOR the Nets trading Deron Williams for him.

And as I previously stated, since he's not a franchise guy so why would a rebuilding team trade for him? Unless he's part of a big package, maybe a 3-4 team trade, I can see it happening. With Rondo being the centerpiece of the trade? Not likely.

Re: Official POST-LOCKOUT Player Movement Thread (Trades, FAs, etc)

I think if Rondo does move, there will be more pieces included with him. Like you said, he really isn't a player that is going to garner 3-4 players in return by himself.

Just an example, but if he were to go to the Kings, like Rondo/Bass and a 1st rounder for possibly Evans/Honeycutt and a 1st rounder. Not saying the Celtics would want them, but just throwing an example out there.

I think the Celtics might lower the asking price if they plan to move the Big 3 as well. Obviously I'm just speculating, but I really can't see them trying to make another run, this team is pretty much dead in the water at this point to contend for a championship.

Just don't see Boston settling for continued mediocrity when the cap space is going to be clearing. I expect Rondo to be moved with one of those expiring in a move to help Pierce the last stretch he has left, just my take if they move Rajon.

Yeah, the Kings are the 'under the radar' team that could make some big moves. I agree that their draft picks coupled with Evans and maybe Cousins would seem very interesting.

Just wondering what the Bulls would have to give up for Tyreke Evans? I doubt the Bulls would give up too much for him, which is why it'll never happen BUT Evans would look good right now next to Rose.

I don't see it. There going to be in the Deron/Dwight Sweepstakes with all of the Cap Space they will have. And with the Recent comments by Ainge and Doc they feel the same. I don't think he's a "Franchise player" but you can build a team around him.

Compare his contract to the other top PG's, his contract is really good.

If they Move him it will be for Multiple assets and DP's.

C's source, pushing back on Rondo trade rumors: "Teams want him? That's great. He's not going anywhere."
