I hope the Suns can come up with Gerald Wallace in the offseason. Dude always gets a raw deal it seems. One of my favorite players.

It didn't have to be for Cook.
I'm not saying it had to be a more talented player than Young, just a better fit. A pure shooter would've been nice. Personally, I would have seen if there was anyway to get Ray Allen. There probably wouldn't have been, but I would've tried. If I were a Clippers fan, I would've rather gotten even Anthony Morrow or Jodie Meeks.Comment

Would Brian Cook a and a future 2nd be enough to yield Jodie Meeks or Anthony Morrow?
I somehow doubt it. Just my opinion.
Washington sort of just gave Young away.Comment

He's about the same as he's been the past 3-4 years. He'll have games where he looks dominant and puts up 20-plus, but then he'll have games where he picks up stupid fouls and rides the pine for long stretches, has games where he hides from the ball and is still a below-average rebounder.Currently Playing:

So you'd rather keep McGee even with the stupidity that comes along with him?#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: Official POST-LOCKOUT Player Movement Thread (Trades, FAs, etc)
I'm ecstatic with the moves the Lakers made today. Gasol only should have been moved for a top tier Point Guard, once that wasn't an option, they wisely didn't include him in any deals for lesser talents.
Getting Sessions(25) Hill(24) and Eyenga(22) -three young guys- for two first round picks is a win in my book. Those two picks will be somewhere in the 20-30 range of the first round. While it is theoretically possible that L.A. could get a better player from one of those two picks, it is highly unlikely. There's a nice caveat wherein if disaster strikes, and the Lakers somehow don't make the playoffs, then they keep that pick for this year, and can get a player from the Lottery in this upcoming deep draft.
Losing, Kapono, Walton and Fisher is a huge win, IMO. I would have lost the farm, if you would have told me that anyone would have taken those guys, even for a first round pick and/or Cap relief.
I know that some Laker fans, including a few guys here, are upset with Fisher getting dealt, but I'm not. Maybe he had a couple of magical moments left in him, but with him still getting major minutes I don't think that we would even be in a situation to be able to see him pull of off some crazy heroics.(See last year vs. Dallas in the Playoffs)
Putting him on the bench wouldn't be a viable option in my opinion, because with his bond with Kobe, and probably Pau, Andrew and and Ron as well, there would be some inevitable tension/drama if Ramon struggles out of the gate. Better to move him on, it's like Cortez burning his ships, no turning back now.
Fisher is, and will always be a Laker, but he bounced once before when he was an unrestricted free agent. Those were the time of troubles for the Lakers, but he did what he had to do, looked out for himself, and got his. The Lakers are just doing that same thing.
Looks like the Lakers kept the TPE too, as a potential piece in the off season. I put the Lakers as the 4th best team in the league right now, behind Chicago, Miami, and OKC, and although I wouldn't favor them in a series against those teams, I feel like they have O.K. chance to come out on top. After how things felt after Chris Paul/Lamar Odom debacle, you can't ask for much more.
Shout out to the Wizards too, for getting rid of McGee and Young.Jordan Mychal Lemos

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.
Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.Comment
