Re: Official POST-LOCKOUT Player Movement Thread (Trades, FAs, etc)
Why would CP3/Howard would even think in going to the LAC ? It's beyond me. Totally nonsense. They've been struggling all these years. Now that they have E.Gordon and B.Griffin everyone is thinking they will be a serious contender, smh...smh.
I can't friggin wait to reach friday/next week. It's gonna be crazy.Hope is lost. Faith is broken. A fire will rise.Comment

Re: Official POST-LOCKOUT Player Movement Thread (Trades, FAs, etc)
He's not exactly in a position where he can be choosy. If he wanted to hoop this year, he had to take the offer there. If there were other teams interested, they weren't making it known from what I've read.
The Knicks are attempting to acquire either Chris Paul, Dwight Howard or Deron Williams to join the tandem of Carmelo Anthony and Amar'e Stoudemire to create a Big 3 of their own that would rival the Heat.
The odds of acquiring a third maximum salaried player are long and Howard Beck of the New York Times isn't sure the front office has an alternative plan.
"At the moment, it appears to be three-max-players-or-bust," writes Beck. "I don’t get the sense that the Knicks have a Plan B. But they could use that $13 million of cap room next summer in a lot of other ways."

Well I mean, what would Howard Beck like them to do? As long as they have a chance at one of those 3, they aren't going to sign any long term contracts now. It's a little early to be planning backup plans for next offseason. Right now it's a waiting game.Originally posted by Jay BilasThe question isn't whether UConn belongs with the elites, but over the last 20 years, whether the rest of the college basketball elite belongs with UConnComment

If they can't imagine a non big 3 plan than I will already right off the Knicks chances of putting a good enough team around Melo and STAT to win a title. If only those players were in the hands of a competent front office...

uh no, I don't think there is ever such a thing as having back up plan come back to bite you. It is called foresight and preparing for alternatives imo.Comment

Oh, I agree with you. I think he has something to offer, especially at that price. It just doesn't seem like anyone wants him. That's how he ended up in Detroit.Originally posted by J.
