I would say heck no in reality, but from what he showed last year, they wouldn't be hurting themselves too bad [they have Taj Gibson/Asik as backups]. I don't think the front office would take such a risk, and they are probably chalking up his poor playoff performance to his injuries.

I would argue that Boozer doesn't exactly raise his level of play once the post season rolls around... at least in the past five or so years.

But yeah, there's no way they cut him IMO.

Looking forward to seeing this thread blow up once the gates open on the 9th and teams have probably 24-48 hrs where they will be amnesty-ing guys they don't want so they can try and get the guys they DO want before they sign elsewhere.

          1). Dallas resigns Chandler

3). Roddy B finally gets over the foot injuries and become another offensive weapon in their arsenal

The Raps have a hole at SF, Klieza is stil hurt, Weems is in Europe......that basically leaves only James Johnson.

Honestly, the Raps are going to be crap....again. I'd sign TMac to a one year deal and let him and the team right some wrongs.....lol.

Kinda sad they probably won't be able to resign JJ. They'll throw all the money at Tyson for sure and Caron. Like you said, hopefully, Roddy B can fill the void. Then we'll lose him the year after smh.

Can someone explain amnesty? Is there a limit to the number of players you can get rid of? How does it all work? Thanks.

I was under the impression that teams only get one amnesty for this season.

I really want to pick Charlotte to sneak into the post season, but you guys acquired Corey Maggette. Guy is nothing but trouble.

And further, with the Bucks acquiring Capt. Jack, I think they don't miss the playoffs like they did last year, unless he goes Maggette on MIL.

The Nets needs for this year:

                          1. Scorers- Really have no proven scorer outside of Deron.
                          2. Rebounding- The Hump is just a regular guy now that he doesn't have the power of the Kardashian in him anymore so I'm hoping we bring him back for a relatively low deal. I'd consider bringing him back for $5 Mil but anything more than that, he can walk.

Right now, our roster looks like:

                          PG: Williams, Farmar, Gaines
                          SG: Morrow, Brooks
                          SF: James
                          PF: Humphries(UFA), J. Williams
                          C: Lopez, Petro.

So yea, BK definitely has some work to do but if he can make some good deals in Trades/FA while still preserving the cap room(got around $20 Mil in cap space not including OutLOL's salary, 2 1st rd picks next year) to go for Duhwight next year AND building a competitive roster, I'll be a happy man.
