got a question…when the Lakers were negotiating the trade with the Hornets, who did they actually talk to? And if that person accepted the trade, whether a league representative or whatever, why is not being allowed now? I’m just confused as to who allows transactions to happen between the Hornets and other teams.

Oh right yes, I've said that right?

I'd appreciate if you didn't say things that have absolutely no merit.

Lakers didnt get their way? Yeah, losing Pau Gasol and Odom for CP3 was the Lakers just swindling CP3 and his expiring contract that he DEFINITELY isnt signing with NO now.

This move had huge franchise implications for the Lakers, a team I have been a fan of since I've understood what Basketball is. We lost some amazing pieces in return, but it had to happen in order to get a piece that helps now and will be even more important once Kobe turns a corner.

Majority of people felt Lakers actually were at a disadvantage in this trade, and I'd even agree. But it was worth it long term.

            This is a joke.

I agree, Gasol would be good with Kevin Martin, but they still had some other good shooters like Courtney Lee...

Good old Kashanova, it must be like Christmas for you since most of your posts on this board (at least the past 40 pages) have been negative comments aimed at LA, it's players, or it's fans.

Never understand how people can spend so much time extremely disliking one team, that is time wasted you could be liking your own...

EDIT: Drewski, breathe dude breathe!! It will be ok.

They negotiated with the Hornets GM Dell Demps. Apparently it was blocked by the owners (I'm guessing a majority of the 27 owners not involved in the deal). They're allowed to do that because the Hornets are currently owned by the league, so they're transactions have to be agreed upon by the rest of the league.

I think i posted somewhere else in this thread that this is the same thing that happened with the OJ Mayo thread at the deadline. 3 team trade was agreed to, New Orleans pulls out last minute with no explanation. Deal doesnt get done.

Everybody just says oh wow, what a mess and moves on. But when nobody is really in charge over there for the Hornets stuff like this is going to keep happening
