That right there is the one reason I'm sketchy on this deal actually happening. Not that the owner is "Dwight Howard-obsessed", but because he seems intent on getting nothing less than a star-calibre player back for Monta.

GSW obviously wouldn't be getting that back unless somehow New Orleans is giving up Eric Gordon, which I highly, highly doubt would be the case, and would also open up that same can of worms of "are they getting fair value in return?" that's being opened with Monta possibly getting dealt.

If true, there goes the Bucks rumors of sending Bogut to the Warriors.

I hear from multiple sources Nets expressed interest in Boris Diaw’s expiring contract. The hitch is what #Bobcats would have to take back.
No idea who that guy is, but if it's true then keep that fat slob as far away from here. THAT'S a player I would never take even if you gave him to me and paid the rest of his salary.

I agree, good for both sides.

Portland has been a huge disappointment after their nice start to the season. Maybe a little change will spark them or something.

                    Nelson/Ellis/Wright/Biedrins/Howard.

I like that team. Just depth would be a question moving forward, but I'm sure that would be addressed.
i doubt bedrins would start. he will most likely backup Dwight. Big Baby would be better of starting.

either way i love this deal for the Magic. hopefully Ron Jeremy would lose the 3 point philosophy and play off Dwight more. i like the Ellis/dwight combo.

why give up on Crawford already? u just signed the man. and unless ur trading Wallace what the hell is the point of getting Gomes?

Three-Way Deal with Orlando and New Orleans Involving Monta Ellis Has No Legs

                      By Marcus Thompson
Monday, March 12th, 2012 at 4:12 pm in Uncategorized.
Team sources, once again, refute reports that Golden State is considering trading guard Monta Ellis to Orlando for anything other than Dwight Howard. Warriors management has held with that stance even though the latest possibility includes a third team – New Orleans. Orlando, however, is doing all it can to get some help for Howard in a bid to keep him around, as ESPN Chris Broussard reported.

One of the sources said the Warriors would not give up Ellis for Hornets center Chris Kaman, reportedly New Orleans’ key piece in the three-team talks. Golden State sources have consistently said they want a star in return if they move Ellis. Kaman, who is two years removed from his best year and is a free agent at season’s end, doesn’t qualify in the Warriors’ minds. There is basically no combination of players, from Orlando and/or New Orleans, that will make the Warriors part with Ellis.

As a matter of fact, the Warriors are embracing the reality that a trade – especially a major splash – won’t happen by Thursday’s trade deadline. One Golden State source the team would be OK if they didn’t pull off the trade now. That way, the Warriors can deal in the offseason, this time without the lockout hindrances from last offseason.

With that said, there is a faction in Warriors management that feels something needs to be done, even if it’s a smaller-scale deal.

I still think they'll hold on to Duhwight after 3:00pm Thursday.

Hell, at least I hope they do because now I'm of the mindset of don't trade him to us. That being said, if Orlando were to call us, then they would have no choice but to jump on it but my preference is to sign him as a FA.

Because their locker room is in shambles and they aren't going to make the playoffs. He's on a one year deal w/ a player option that he won't take. Why not get something for him instead of letting him walk away. Besides it's painfully obvious that Felton isn't the answer in POR and he wouldn't resign anyway. Bledsoe is a talented young PG with potential. I think it makes sense for both teams.

And honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if they dealt Wallace too. I'm pretty sure he said publicly that he wouldn't pick up his option or resign there. And that was in the early stages of the season when they were winning.
