Nene was not their best player. He was having a typical Nene season; he'd have games where he'd score points, and then others where he'd disappear. He couldn't stay healthy and his rebounding still is below average for a guy with his height and strength.

Ty Lawson and Gallinari are the future for the Nuggets. When Gallo's healthy, he's the Nuggets' best player, imo, with Lawson right behind him.

I'm not even talking big market/small market here.

The Nuggets just chucked their best player for...cap space?

Did I miss something or did they get a pick at the very least out of this?

Nets have all the cap space in the world and are gonna put a D-League team out there next year if Deron walks.

What's all this lovely cap space for? To overpay scrubs?

If you're building your team around a 30 y/o, then maybe your team isn't that good to begin with.

        Food for thought.

They should. Just because he's a top 5 center in the league, doesn't mean he's any good or worth what Denver paid him. It just means that there are not any centers in the league worth a damn. Nene is mediocre at best.

Like I said, there's a reason why the same teams win.

85% of the teams in the league have no clue how to build or run a team.

Nate to Wash is something I can dig. They might as well flip Flip. They need to start the shift ASAP.

I'd rather have Gortat than Nene.

WHY would Stern intervene on the Pacers picking up Kaman? What on earth? A BIG YOU SUCK to David Stern. Kaman would have been a huge pickup for Indy.

Probably not the final piece, but would have almost put us to the point of getting out of the first round with ease.

Thanks Stern, so now NO will lose him as he walks away at the end of the year. Great job. Screw 2 franchises.

This whole thing about "oh, _____ isn't winning a championship this year anyway, so whatever" attitude has got to stop amongst basketball/sports fans. ONE TEAM wins a title every year. ONE. You don't just say "oh well, we're not winning it anyway so who cares" as a reason to do and explain things. Whatever happened to building and progression?

Yes. So you build around Gallo..Lawson..Chandler and Javale McGee.

Or you build around none of them.

You continuing to argue that building around Lawson and Gallo isn't good isn't helping an argument to build around Nene, its just showing that Denver isn't really that good.

Nene may not be the best player out there, but how does this move make Denver better? They can add Chandler but they'll have no bigs who can score.

Charlotte is saying that they did NOT trade DJ Augustin. So apparently this one was close, but did not happen.
