But after that he gave a mediocre performance in OKC, got sent down to the D-league and only came back up due to injury, and in his time, he hustled but just didn't show a lot and lately with Haywood out he hasn't even gotten any time. Chances are if he doesn't get signed by another team he'll sign with the Texas Legends, the Mavs D-league team, again.

What's more interesting is this frees up a roster spot for the Mavs, some think that the Mavs want to use the spot to pick up another true center as Brandan Wright is really a 4 and Ian Mahinmi is undersized for a 5. Some think we might pick up a more versatile guy like Andres Nocioni, I don't know, but I can't imagine we spend the rest of the year with only 14 guys on the roster.
LOL This sounds eerily familiar except he didn't throw up because he was going so hard...well at least on the Basketball Court that is.

Ray Ray needs to come to Phoenix. He already did the "old fogies run for a title" thing once. Sign for a reasonable one year deal, and run with Nash, Hill, and Gortat. Hell, bring Garnett too.

Nash, Allen, Hill, Garnett, Gortat with Dudley, Frye, Morris, etc on the bench.

Hell, the best benefit to signing with Phoenix would be the medical staff. Would probably revive both Allen and Garnett and make 'em 2, 3 years younger lol

That lineup would average around 70 points a game with 0 fastbreak points

I'm going to need The Russian to give them whatever amount of $$$ they want to come out East and work for us.

Or at least loan them out to us for half a season.

It absolutely could. Then everyone comes off the books and you go to town on FA.

To borrow a scene from The Wire, this is probably how The Russian would handle it and we know which one The Russian would be:

Forget Phoenix, Miami, come to Chicago Ray. You'll start, you'll get your shot whenever you want.

                              I agree.

The fact that he could still move like that impresses me.

Kelenna Azubuike will sign with the Mavericks, according to sources.

The deal will be for two years as the veteran minimum, with the second season being a team option.

Azubuike hasn't played since the beginning of the 09-10 season because of a knee injury.

Azubuike will begin his comeback with the Texas Legends of the D-League.

If he looks anything like he did with the GSW, this will be a great pickup. Him and JT off the bench could do nice work at the guard spots.

Does anyone remember how Kelenna was defensively?
