Greatest player to ever wear 23 in ANY sport.

Is Tim Duncan the greatest player to ever wear 21 in Basketball?

This would actually be a good thread idea too.

It's true. Hell, wearing number 23 in OTHER sports feels special.

Not necessarily, but that also depends on the sport.

There would be some crazy battles between some numbers, specifically #'s 21 and 3

But about Jordan, this dude has a number associated with him lol...when average sports fans think of the number 23, they think of Jordan

I don't know if there are any other numbers that someone can say and have one of the following thoughts be an athlete...

              EDIT:

But yeah, it would be pretty cool to try to rank players based off of jersey #'s
              Chicago Bulls
              Chicago Bears
              Wisconsin Badgers

3? Maybe I'm forgetting someone, but I'm pretty sure Babe Ruth walks away with that one pretty easily.

Yeah, you're correct. Babe Ruth takes number 3.

I was thinking of the number three in basketball history though... AI, D-Wade etc.

Don't forget CP3. I think Chris Paul first now if no other reason than the nickname.

Same for me except Chris Paul is in there too but I also don't like nor watch baseball so I don't ever think of baseball players when a jersey number is brought up.

Someone has to make a thread for this...

What about #33? Kareem, Bird, Pippen, Ewing to name a few

                              #6? Erving, Russell, LeBron

                              #34? Shaq, Hakeem, Barkley

                              That's just a few

And when I think #3 I think AI first, then Wade/CP3

Travis King posted this photo of Amar’e Stoudemire and JaVale McGee training with Hakeem Olajuwon. Amar’e and JaVale have slightly different approaches to shorts-wearing. (For more Amar’e/Olajuwon photos, check here. Thanks to Ethan Rothstein for those.)
