The last time Phoenix had black were the alternates of the sunburst unis.HELLO BROOKYLN.
All Black Everything -
Well, the original version, and not the recent throwback version, was pretty nice. It had a nice shine to it but adidas screwed up on the throwback that the Spurs wore a few years ago.
I really like the idea of having a "silver" alternate, but one that has the team nickname or city. Screw just having a lopsided logo!!!!

A new angle on the Suns court photos.
Spoiler
EDIT: came across this (below) after seeing the new "Suns" wording on the court, and low and behold; http://arizona.sbnation.com/phoenix-...ys-this-season
Phoenix Suns Reportedly To Wear Throwback Jerseys This Season
by Jess Root • Jul 24, 2012 7:00 AM MST
Phoenix Sun fans who have been following team for many years will remember the Suns jerseys from thedays of Kevin Johnson and Charles Barkley. Those fans will get to see them again on the current version of the Phoenix Suns, according to Uni-watch.com.Uni Watch News Ticker: "I saw the Spring 2013 Adidas NBA Catalog and there are some new on-court offerings," says Chris Blackstone. "There are new jerseys for Christmas Day and for home weekend games during the second half of season, called the Winter Court jerseys. They're monochrome like the all-black Miami uniforms from the past couple years, but in team colors. Also, there are Hardwood Classic jerseys for Indiana (home from 1997-98 through 2004-05), Milwaukee (late '90s), Chicago (mid-'90s alternate), Atlanta (late-'90s road), Miami (late-'90s alternate), Sacramento (mid-'90s alternate), Phoenix (1990s alternate), Philly (early-'90s road), Cleveland (mid-'90s road), Toronto (late-'90ss home), Houston (late-'90s road), and Utah (late-'90s road)."
Jared Dudley of the Suns already is among those excited to see the throwbacks, as he tweeted that he hopes to be able to rock the old school duds.
The unis were part of a time when the Suns were contenders. This next season is probably not going to be the case for this year's version of the Suns, so at least the throwbacks can give us memories of times that were better.

Re: NBA Off Topic
Channing Frye out indefinitely due to enlarged heart.
Per: http://www.brightsideofthesun.com/
It is with sadness that I must impart this news on the Suns world. The Phoenix Suns today announced that forward Channing Frye will be sidelined indefinitely for medical reasons. Frye has developed a dilated cardiomyopathy, an enlarged heart. The condition was discovered during a screening echocardiogram conducted as part of a routine preseason physical by Suns team cardiologist Dr. Tim Byrne.
Frye will be followed closely by his team of medical specialists. He will not participate in basketball activities and will be re-evaluated in December.
"Nothing is more important to us than the health and well-being of our players," said Suns President of Basketball Operations Lon Babby. "Channing and his family have the full support of our organization. His health is our primary concern and we are committed to helping him in any way he needs."
UPDATE, per Coro: Suns forward Channing Frye told azcentral sports that he will miss the 2012-13 season because of medical concerns.
"The good news is it is a virus so it does have a good chance of going away," Frye said. "My heart can be normal again."
Frye will not participate in any basketball activities and his progress will be re-evaluated in December. He said he would rest for six months, confining his activities to golf and yoga.

To Shawn's defense (since he's a Sixer) -- every good/great shotblocker gets yammed on a lot.

Re: NBA Off Topic
Earl Smith III.
Favorite quote is from his father:
"Defense was the last thing I taught them," Earl explained, "because you can make it without defense."
That opened the door for Garnett in 1995, then a superior high school player but someone described by Michael Wilbon in the Washington Post as not "physically ready to play under the basket in the Big Ten, much less against Hakeem Olajuwon and David Robinson. His skill level isn't high enough; he isn't savvy enough."Comment
