I don't disagree with what Perkins said about him "just wanting to be liked", but if anything it's Perkins sounding like a bitch because he's upset the best player in the league gave props to Blake for that play.

Now ideally LeBron should have just said nothing and kept it moving. At the same time, what the hell is wrong with what he said? This is just yet another case of people wanting to pile on LeBron any chance they get. Go ahead and call him out for the other stupid things he's done, but to be calling him a bitch over this? Ridiculous.

    This quote was spot on:

"I'm an easy target; if someone wants to get a point across -- just throw LeBron's name in there," James said. "You could be watching cartoons with your kids and you don't like it, you say, 'Blame it on LeBron.' If you go to the grocery store and they don't have the milk that you like, you just say, 'It's LeBron's fault.' "

Lebron has to cut out that talking in the 3rd person stuff. Is say "I" that hard?

2 weeks later and we're still talking about it.

There's what's wrong right there, honestly.

Absolutely nothing wrong with what James said...actually echoed what I've been saying all season..

Perk was "smart" though....don't go after the players that actually clowned him, but went after LBJ because everyone is going to hop on that train right behind him...probably his best play of the year...

"Oh my God!" Kobe said following the game after walking away from the media scrum at his locker. "OH MY GOD!!" he repeated with a huge grin. "That was really something, wasn't it? That was one of the best plays I've seen him make — and he's made a lot of them.

"Did you see how he went up even higher once he (made contact) with Perkins? That was something else."
Guess Kobes not "elite", what a dumb ***

I tend to be a LeBron defender but I think one one Perkins' decent points was that James tries to make everything about him, and maybe that irks Perkins.

"OMG my dunk is now #2!!!"

"If there's no milk at the store it's LeBron's fault!"

                  That kind of stuff.

IDK why Perkins seems extra hurt by James compared to everyone else and their mothers Tweeting about the play.

                    Re: NBA Off Topic

What LeBron said in response to Perkins really wasn't that bad. Probably could have done without the third person since he's still trying to get the public back on his side. I think The Rock is the only person in the history of ever that could get away with talking in the third person and he's just a character. Still, wasn't too bad what he said. People are acting like he went into full douchebag mode or something when he really didn't.

That being said I agree with what you said ex in why Perk probably got all butthurt about Bron's tweet. Everybody said they're piece about the dunk being awesome but of course LeBron has to make it about himself. This is why I say he should just not speak or tweet at all for a while. Maybe until he wins a ring just give everyone the silent treatment. **** is still too hot for Bron with the hatred so he needs to just not put himself in positions to get more hate. People don't rob banks and then go walking naked outside a police station. They lay low until the heat dies down. LeBron meanwhile just steps in every booby trap in the room.

My thing is, why didn't anybody care before though?

I hadn't read one negative reaction from anyone about LeBrons tweet before yesterday....NOW all the sudden it's something to jump on....it's been out there for a while now.

It's pretty much graduated from legit sports hate to some female-ish, Mean Girls type **** at this point IMO...

What I was saying yesterday, people are just jumping on the dude unnecessarily

When i saw it on tv last night when it was done I forgot about it.. then now its some kind of national news story and lebron needs to shut up...

Man this is exactly why i hate that they cant just focus on basketball

You're right, it wasn't commented on here, but it definitely got commented on elsewhere. Stephen A and Bayless talked about Bron's comment the next day, I remember that clearly. You are right though that on here he's getting hate for it after the fact, but this is why I say he needs to just go off the radar outside of showing up for games now. I'm not saying it like 'oh Bron just shut yo *** up punk' or nothing like that. I'm just saying this kind of stuff is going to keep happening over everything he says regardless of the context of what he's talking about or whatever the subject. So it's in his best interest to just not talk until the heat is off of him.

                            About Kobe:

When pressed and asked if he would rather play with Orlando's Dwight Howard or New Jersey's Deron Williams, two players who have been linked to dozens of trade rumors this season, Bryant played along.

"Give me both, how about that?" Bryant said with a laugh.

He also offered an answer that would be surprising to some when he was told he could pick any player in the league to join him to create the sport's top duo.

"It's a tough question because I've played with a lot of great players being on the Olympic team," Bryant said. "I think that the player I would probably play with the most where the pieces would fit would be myself and LeBron [James], believe it or not, because he's more of a facilitator and I'm more of a scorer. ... He's a modern version of what Oscar [Robertson] was. He just puts up genius numbers."

He's honestly been pretty quiet this year it seems until this little tiff
