I would think the offense would get pretty stagnant without Rose. Granted I haven't seen Watson play that much. But I don't think that Deng and Rip could hypothetically carry the Bulls to the playoffs without Rose.

They could at least get to the second round with that team.

Offense being stagnant is definitely not a problem without Rose. I think we're losing touch with how bad the East is. Once again not saying the Bulls would win a title or go to the Finals or even the ECF without Rose, but if that squad can't get at least the eighth seed in the East...I...I just don't know how I can continue to go on as a basketball fan.

Preeeeeetty sure the Bulls would make the playoffs without Rose. Watson isn't bad by any means, not Rose though.

I'm not debating whether or not they would advance, the idiot who wrote that article said they would be a lottery team without Rose, which is absolutely ridiculous. I would argue they could be as successful as the Pacers or the Nuggets who are deep teams with no superstar.

Are we talking about the Bulls hypothetically going the rest of this season without Rose, and grabbing a playoff spot?(which is almost guaranteed) Or, the Bulls starting out this season without Rose and going the whole season without him and still getting a low seed in the playoffs. (Which is the impression I was under)

I'd say your impression was correct, the latter.

Gotta love the classic debate of "Would team Y even make the playoffs without superstar/star player X?" that no one will ever have the answer to.

Definitely talking about without Rose from jump street. Obviously they wouldn't be fighting for the top two seeds in the East, but they'd make the playoffs.

We could always pool our money together on OS and pay someone to give a superstar/star player a ” freak injury ” think Carlos Boozer falling down his stairs kinda thing.

Takes a look at the NBA Standings and looks at all the East teams. OK I agree.. Hell, they could probably make a play for the 6th seed. I never realized how low a standard it is this year to grab the 7th or eight seed.
