I know people can blame what they will, but the point is, you dont go in the stands... the one thing in pro sports that you never do

Fouls happen, hard fouls, trash talk, but never go into the stands and go at the people paying your salary

One man's actions put all of those people in danger

There's gotta be a little pride involved when you get a drink thrown at you.

Honestly, that's the bottom line. I know there are many circumstances in all the coulda', shoulda's that would have prevented it. But number one, first and foremost is do not go into the stands.

Granted, Ron should not have went into the stands, but some of the blame has to go to the guy throwing the drink. The argument that Ron 'should have known better' can go both ways.

I'm still trippin' on how bad Jermaine O'neal laid that one dude out! My goodness! even though it was weak on Jermaine's part for hitting when he was trying to get up.

And are you kidding me with these dopes? They're upset at Derrick Rose for not smiling? And they actually get paid to talk about sports on public media...I'm definitely in the wrong business.
I'm shocked y'all are so taken aback by a hometown radio host talking crazy....lol. There's a version of this guy in just about every city with a sports team...

There's always right and wrong, but it's easy to say these things when it's not you in the situation.

Trash talk, fouls and stuff of that nature is a lot different than getting an object thrown at you. It's kind of similar to getting spit on. Yeah it's just spit, but it's just disrespectful, not in the same way a hard foul or trash talk is.

That link doesn't show up Drew, but once again Clippers being the Clippers. Smh

From what I hear, they sold his seats or something?

All I know is he comes to my school now [Cal St. Long Beach] and does his same act.

He changed it up a few times, first I saw nothing, then a couple of pics, now just one pic and no links.

That's messed up and just another example of good ole Slumlord Sterling being himself probably.

Yeah being screwy. Here's Darrell's post...

                          I AM DEVASTATED!!!

                          Posted on February 29, 2012
It is with great sadness that I must report to all those in NBA NATION that I have been told by Clipper management they no longer want me to be Clipper Darrell, a name that was given to me by the media because of my unwavering support and team spirit. I am devastated!!!!

I have been a season ticket holder for over a decade and a FAN for over 15 years and have dedicated a major part of my life to support the Clipper organization and it’s players no matter what the season’s outcome. Over the years (400 home games) I have gone to great lengths to show my appreciation and loyalty in my attire, the car I drive and in my very own home. I’ve taken seriously the mantra of being “Clipper Darrell” in performing community service, mentoring young children and my participation in outreach programs. I’ve appreciated the struggles of the team to overcome obstacles as I’ve done in my life. I felt vindicated for all the years we as Clipper fans have gone through trials and tribulations and NOW we have a team that can win it all. Yesterday was the hardest day of my life, I felt powerless as a fan, as I was stripped of my identity however, no one can take away my heart and the love I have for my team!

Yep the guy in the blue who grabbed ron from behind should've been arrested

Could've been charged with inciting a riot in a public place for that

There are no ifs ands or buts about it... he's responsible for his own actions, and in this case because of where he took it, it escalated into alot more

Or had Ben Wallace not gone absolutely ballastic as if he'd just had his arm chopped off by Artest. It was a hard foul, not even flagarant really, just a hard foul, flagarant 1 at best. Dude went ape **** and riled up the crowd with under a minute left over some nonsense. It's easy to blame it all on 'Ron being psycho,' but Ben Wallace is the jackass most responsible for what went down.
