But I could definitely see how that's an understandable problem, Odom just doesn't seem to go well with a coach like Jim Carrey.

I'm not condoning his behavior, I'm just saying it is what it is.

Our fans, our players want to see the guy playing like his pants are on fire and we haven't seen that so far and that's got to change."
That gets me the most. Have they not watched Odom his whole career? LoL. Talented guy and all but never been known for putting it all on the court.

So, who voluntarily goes to the D-league? He could've stayed in the league and prove he gives a damn by competing hard in practice and in the games. I can see him totally dogging it in Frisco with the Legends. He's turning into a bum.

He isn't "turning" into whatever you want to refer to him as, my man Drewski kinda nailed it. He's always been this guy you see before you.

Nothings really changed, dude's always been this way. I just think Phil had a way of drawing out the best of him. It doesn't mean he changed for the better back then, he was just being guided or call it what you want but it was working better then.

All just my opinion of course.

Wrong. He's more than talented enough to change his play style to adapt to the Mavs. And I'm not talking about looking sleepy on the court, he hasn't been as active as he was in LA. The Mavs are paying him to play about 20 minutes and produce, in LA he played 30+ minutes and produced, he's a great basketball player, he should be able to rise to the task, but instead he wants to mope around and reminisce about the good ol' days.

At this point I'd rather have Yi take his minutes.

Like I said, it's my opinion and I don't think it's wrong at all.

Hell, call up the Mavs and have them outright release him. We'd gladly take him back.

It's weird because in baseball you go down for rehab assignments because the big club plays basically every day and they don't really have enough practice time to make sure you're good to go, so in a way with the condensed schedule this year it's sort of the same thing, just less drastic. I'm surprised more teams haven't done the DLeague "rehab start" this year. Might be a player pride issue.

Odom played well with the Clippers and with Miami... it has nothing to do with Phil Jackson

Donald Sterling asked for a prostitute's opinion on whether to hire Alvin Gentry as coach.
