Will never happen. I heard Cuban came up to Walker at some event last year and told him hed be a Maverick this season. Either that or Walker said he wanted to be a Maverick. I think it was the first, then the second.

walker saw Cuban in LA and Walker asked him when he was going to get him. Cuban told him he'd been trying.

I haven't looked at artest's numbers or age or anything but a big reason why this wouldn't happen is artest's attitude.

The mavs just don't need that hassle.

Artest isnt as good as Jamison, and the attitude is a big negative for Artest.

I would have to disagree there.

                              (I'm a St. John's homer by the way )

But Ron Artest is probably the best on-the-ball defender in the NBA right now. He can totally lock up perimeter players.
I'll agree that Artest doesn't possess the scoring prowess of Jamison, but Jamison can't defend like him.
