And wow....GS really just took a nap in the 4th quarter. It was like they just decided to stop giving any solid effort in anything fundamental.

I don't think people realize just how much basketball we're going to get from here on out. I mean it's gonna be warp speed. No days off.

Like someone mentioned earlier, there's only like 11 practices scheduled for a team I forget who.

It's absurd but should be fun at the same time.

Looks like Shump is out 2-4 weeks with a sprained MCL.. that's too bad.. they need his willingness to go to the rack.

Jefferies will also miss a week or so with a bad calf

So they are down to Douglas and Bibby?

They need B-Diddy to get healthy. Was good to see him talking to the young guys, seems like he's definitely engaged in what's goin on. If he can regain any form from when he cared, hell provide a huge lift for the Knicks. Also kind of seems like Bibby is odd man out when everyone gets healthy.

I was surprised by the Lakers. They played better than I expected. Unfortunately Fisher played as bad as I expected. His contritubutions to the game: him taking a charge (vintage Fisher) and making a layup that a 5 year old can make.
I still don't understand that this guy is still in the starting line up. He's slow, can't guard the many fast guards in the league and his offense is zero and has been for a very long time.

I bet 90% of the people here would've made the same predictions. However, you should've put money on it.

The inference was making the leap to being an efficient player, especially scoring. He's incredibly athletic and has made strides in almost all areas of play, but still has lots of room to grow. Even last season, he forced a lot of shots and was inconsistent at times.

I'm taking nothing away from him, I'm just saying that he still has a lot of potential. If he's able to tap into it (improve shot selection, improve 3pt shot, more patience on the offensive end, pick his spots more effectively) he's going to be freaking ridiculous.

I'd like to mention Rose has really proven me wrong, I thought he wasn't worthy of the MVP award last season, I thought the media exaggerated but yesterday he played like a champ, knocking down 3 Pointers in the D's face & that clutch basket to win the game... He certainly is a top 3 point guard in my books.

How Derek Fisher still has a job in the NBA is beyond me. My dog could run point better than he can.

                          It's politics.

Just like back in middle school/high school... the less talented kids get burn not because of their skills but for other reasons.

Thankfully this will definitely be his last year as starter, and who knows, Blake might even overtake him this season if he continues to produce..

It's going to be quite entertaining to see how Fish deals with a condensed schedule.

Can't wait to see how Kobe's injury responds tonight and also tomorrow. It's unreal sometimes... as much as I might not like how he plays he is a machine. It looked like he wasn't hurt at all yesterday.

Edit: And I hope for Chicago's sake, that RIP isn't done... he looked awful yesterday.. but it's just one game.

Rip is a notorious slow starter. Always has been. It usually takes him a few weeks into the regular season before he really gets going and find his groove. And it still looked to me like he's in good enough shape to run up and down the court and play alongside Derrick Rose. At any rate, the Bulls should be able to find more shot opportunities for him as the season goes on.

Just ran into Corey Maggette ...man the guy looks like a freaking TE.

Really cool guy though, no way he's 6'8..
