First week of discussions and we already got some classic remarks. Heat will go undefeated. But there is something even more classic then that and that's Baron Davis actually having a positive contribution.

When the playoffs start, I can't wait to come back to this thread an see my predictions turn out to be true.

Do you really think it would be impossible for a team to win every game ? Just because it's never happened doesn't mean it never will.

Screw the playoffs, I can't wait until Miami loses they're first game and ruins your predicitions.

And yes, no team is going to win every game they play. The closest we've ever gotten to it is the Bulls during the 72-10 year and even with how much better that team was than everybody else in the league, they just had off nights and other teams came out and outworked them. The Heat may not lose a game for the rest of 2011 since this year is almost over, but they'll lose at least once in January to either the Hawks, Pacers, Clippers, Knicks, Spurs, Nuggets, Lakers or Bulls.

Cant believe the nonsense Im reading in this thread after 2 games. Hilarious man.

Its like, so stupid I dont even know how to process it. Miami undefeated, Lakers season over and the Bulls not making the playoffs.

Can a person be banned for blasphemy? This kid cant be serious. He has to be like 7 years old.

On a side note, I have seen more travelling violations called the past two days, than all of last season. Bravo NBA.

                  Re: Game Discussion 12/25/11-1/1/12

Just to analyze what happened in GS tonite, really lackluster effort for the first three quarters. I understand it's early, but I havent seen the effort on either end to start the season sans the fourth. We need to take control early. We also cant turn it over 20 times.

I'm not digging Rose's blantant passiveness. I understand he needs to facilitate more, but didn't know they wanted him to be John Stockton. He needs to be more agressive, then that can lead to freeing up the other guys, however once again, Boozer's struggles are ruining our flow. With no presence down low, defenses can pretty much load up on our wings.

Our defense has all been below average. Bad rotations, low effort on forcing players out on the pick and roll and no effort rebounding sans Noah and Gibson.

There were some positives to take out of the game though. Rose's on ball defense was really good tonight. Closed out well and made it tough for Curry and Ellis to get where they wanted. He got beat a couple times, but it was because he was waiting for a double that never came, or getting screened off.

Secondly, Deng looks like hes going to have another solid year.

Thirdly, I think Thibs is onto something with the Rose/Watson/Deng/Gibson/Noah lineup. We saw glimpses of it last year and it generated more success tonight. Hope to see it more going forward.

We're going to be fine. GS always plays us tough. Well still be the 1-2 seed, just need to iron out the kinks and get Rose, back to being Rose.

Y'all please keep in mind there are one or two posters with these crazy predictions so spare us the "people talking about Miami going undefeated" posts when they lose lol

As far as the Bulls, I thought with the weight loss and conditioning, Boozer would be a lot more effective....he seems to have picked up from last year rather than his Utah days....what is up with that dude?

There was a discussion earlier about Bulls vs OKC players. If I could trade Boozer straight up for Harden I'd do it in a heartbeat. There were like 4 steals by GSW with Booz in the post not moving to receive a pass, even Kwame Brown was owning him.

About Rose, the criticism the Bulls got last year for depending too much on him is making him try too hard to get his teammates involved, and he's not playing to his strenghts.

Lou is the only guy on the team with a scorer mentality; he knows how to create space and draw fouls. Iguodala is more of a playmaker/slasher, his last 3 was bad and he already had his heat check 3 earlier.

However, I got to say Lamarcus Aldridge disappointed me. He should have easily had 30 to 35 tonight, he was on fire early. He had the size advantage on Brand/ Young and the quickness on Hawes. He finished 11 for 25 and as a Sixers fan, I'm happy he didn't post up much and decided to settle for jumpers.

The Sixers did look good out there despite the loss. They hung in there and remained competitive in a tough place to play. They were looking for Lou Williams to take the final shot on the last possession but Nicolas Batum did a good job of denying him the ball. So Iggy kept it for himself.

LaMarcus Aldridge wasn't able to participate in training camp due to having a heart procedure, so he's not up to the fitness/conditioning level of everyone else. It looked real evident that fatigue simply caught up with him in the second half after playing a lot of minutes in the first half.
