Re: Game Discussion 12/25/11-1/1/12
I got served? Lmfao, go back to 2002 buddy.
I guess I should start making up things to look smarter too. I don't know what I was thinking saying a guy who's averaged a double double over 9 years was better than a two year swingman who is relatively inefficient has yet to crack a starting lineup over a defensive specialist. I must be a fool. Go back to your hole.GT: Event Horizon 0Comment

About the contract or Harden. Just curious from Bulls fan perspective

That's a great point, but Harden is a step above most athletic swing men, wouldn't you agree? His shot seems to only grow more consistent, he plays solid defense, and he's on his rookie contract. Guy like Harden is unlikely to get BIG money, probably something more like what Afflalo received (many people feel like that's the benchmark). I'd take Harden over Afflalo. That's just me though.Follow me on Twitter@DrewGarrisonSBNComment

I'd take Harden over Afflalo as well you aren't the only one. Harden reminds me of Manu Ginobili a lot, Harden just needs more find tuning.
Regarding Harden versus Boozer, Boozer's on the wrong side of 30 but not sure if turning this into a debate is even worthwhile imo.Comment

Re: Game Discussion 12/25/11-1/1/12
Boozer's contract wasn't even the worst signed in his free agent class. His deal looks a lot better than Joe Johnson 6 year 119 million dollar contract. Now that deal has been called one of if not the worst ever. Then we can also throw in Gilbert's and Rashard Lewis contracts as ones that are far worse than Boozer's. I'm sure there are more but those are ones that instantly jump out off the top of my head.
Edit-- Just throw it out there for more perspective Boozer is making less this year than Elton Brand and about the same as Luis Scola. Again big men get paid. So he isn't the most highly overpaid cat out there. He and Brand signed the same deal when they both hit free agency and Boozer was coming off better season and actually had less injury concerns than Brand.Last edited by PrettyT11; 12-27-2011, 07:11 PM.Comment

Boozer
13.5 mil
15.0 mill
15.3 mil
16.8 mil
60.6 mil
Scola
8.5 mil
9.4 mil
10.2 mil
11.0 mil
39.1 mil
21.5 million total difference
Boozer, in my opinion, can't even begin to be compared to Scola's contract.
(Not pointed out to call out Boozer, but Scola is a very effective PF + contract)Follow me on Twitter@DrewGarrisonSBNComment

Hold on. Scola is one of the more ideal contracts in the league. Far from overpaid.

No Paul Pierce tonight or the next game either according to ESPN Scorecenter alert on my phone. Might be a long night for the C's.Comment
