I honestly just take the games for exactly what they are, entertainment.

Sure it's great to watch the players amazing athleticism. But sometimes watching the BS, angry players, cheap stuff is just like real life BS you have to deal with only it's not us in the game. It is there to entertain us, is it great to watch high character guys play the game with sportsmanship that's proper? Sure, nothing wrong with that as well.

I think at some point in time you let all the drama & BS get to you and you become jaded with it all, then start to project it, often cursing up a storm or wishing bad things on players you don't know personally.

I honestly don't know what else to say, sports to us guys are not much different than what a romance novel or soap operas are to older broads. It's just in a form of athletic, physical combat/competition.

I mean what the hell do I know, some of what I posted may or may not make sense to anyone here. I'm just giving my opinion and it isn't worth much lol.

Well that's a can of worms I don't want to open. Let's just say I respect wrestlers more than I respect any other athletes. That's not the issue.

It does happen to players all the time, but Lebron put a lot of the pressure on himself. Many of the players did miss open shots, but more importantly they missed free throws. Lebron makes both free throws instead of going one of two, we might be talking about a Heat victory.

Nah, he didn't steal that from ESPN, but the whole "free throw tutorial thing" is kinda my schtick.

Thing is players like Mario Chalmers aren't superstar players so if they aren't making open shots, why am I going to go off about it? Where have you been over the last year? No one talks about shots Bosh doesn't make? Trying to say Bosh gets a pass just means you aren't paying attention. Wade, I can see that. However in the case of tonight. What do you want people to say? LeBron got to the line multiple times in the clutch and pissed down his leg when he could have won the game for them. Whatever though.

But Mario Chalmers was the only Heat player to score in overtime...

I was going to say, it's always going to matter. It's LeBron James. Supposed to be the face of the NBA and the star of the Heat, yet in crunch time he might as well be Juwan Howard sitting over on the bench. Hell, Juwan is probably more clutch than he is.

Been that way his whole career.

LeBron is lucky that Wade bailed him out at the end of the 4th to even get it to OT.

Agreed. If you want to be considered as one of the best, you have to perform throughout the entire game. Lebron is becoming dangerously close to a Wince Harder type player than a MJ type player. This game was not the first time that Lebron folded under pressure. You see players today like Rose, Anthony, Kobe, and Durant they are not afraid of the moment.

I would just like to point out in this clutch discussion that not only was Dirk the most clutch player of the night as he was the only one to hit a game-winning shot, he is criminally underrated in the clutch department.

Like I said, I'd take him to win me one game over anybody in the league, and I'd take him in any late-game situation over anybody in the league.

Completely forgot about Dirk, especially after last nights game. He is the perfect example though of a player falling short of a championship but coming back and being a great basketball player. You expect him to make shots when his team needs him. A few years ago many were questioning his ability to perform in the biggest moments as well as his toughness.
