ESPN used in any argument makes that argument invalidSaints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, Lightning -
It's not fair, but Bigs don't get proper consideration for being clutch, and despite his skill set, Dirk is really a Big. Kareem, Hakeem, Duncan, Dirk, people just don't evaluate them in that way. Also, we're too fixated on the game winning basket. Blocking or altering those game winning shot attempts, boxing out and getting that defensive rebound to seal the win, those vital aspects of winning basketball are simply not recognized as contributing to what makes a player clutch. Thus the clutch contribution of a Big man will always be undervalued.
The hero shots are what gets a label attached to a player, but its not really a sound evaluation of what truly makes a player clutch.Comment

Figured I'd get this generic answer.
I was just wondering....I'll have to go back and watch the tapes....I wasn't using it as an argument...I agree Jordan had better Finals, just not that one.
Let's not act like ESPN doesn't have a mold of Jordan's sack in the middle of their office though...Comment

LOL It's like a flow chart.....
Did something positive happen for LeBron on the play? "Yeah, but It's because he traveled" Did LeBron come through? "Yeah but it's still Wades team, plus be didnt come through in the Finals"
I can literally see it coming everytime...lol. While we're ignoring things, I guess we can ignore the 2 series before the Finals too....were he clearly hit big buckets.
I also remember watching him drop buzzer beaters and game-winning shots in Cleveland, but I guess no one wants to relive those days huh?Comment

I know it doesn't make up for LeBron's missed FTs (Even though he's never been a great FT shooter). But this is still interesting. Also shows that he has been clutch in the earlier part of his career, he's just struggling w/ it now. He hasn't failed his entire career. Ok, carry on.Comment

Michael Jordan versus Phoenix might have been one of tweet most dominating finals performances ever.
His series against the Lakers where he posted 31.2 on 56% shooting from the field, 11.4 assists, 6.6 rebounds, 2.8 steals and 1.4 blocks...
