Before Shaq Wade lost in the second round. After Shaq they had the worst record in the league then back to back first round defeats.

Dwight has lead a team to a NBA finals and a ECF with nothing close to what those guys won titles with. To compare what Dwight has done to what Kobe and Wade did without Shaq is not even close and shouldn't be mentioned at all.
To be fair, the year they made it to the finals, Dwight had a great cast. No doubt about it.

The following year when they made it to the ECF's, they played Charlotte and ATL to meet BOS. I mean, cool that they made it, but sometimes playing in the East during certain seasons has its perks.

Overall Dwight hasn't had the greatest support. People acting as if they know what the man is thinking is pretty silly IMO. It's called wearing out a welcome. It happens. It happened with LeBron, CP3 and now Howard. All three guys gave their hearts and souls to those franchises so I can't be mad when they feel like it's time to move on.

Other people can't seem to grasp the idea that it's OK for players to feel like they need a change. They act like these guys are a disgrace to sports.

I can't remember there ever being as much consistent vitriol being spewed out when team management decides to ship a guy out when and wherever they please. If they can do things like that on a whip why doesn't a player have that right as well?

          Oh no, not this again.

....on another note, that Orlando team should have won the Finals. It is criminal how badly people forget. That series could have EASILY been 4-1 Orlando.

Some of that you can thank Stan Van Gundy for. No way in hell Jameer Nelson should have set foot on the floor in that series.

You're not going to win this argument (I've already tried)...it'd be best to drop it(Or restrain yourself from posting) before things escalate. And they will. Just let them whine and things will blow over soon enough.

If you're gonna play this pointless game, you can say the same thing for last year's finals

Because there's no real defense against it

Guess its more entertaining to b**** about players....

Kaman and Gordon are fresh examples....but like you said...waste of time.

Last year's Finals were tight, no doubt. But that LA/Orlando series literally came down to Courtney Lee, a dumb foul or two, like 5 missed FTs, and Derek Fisher.

One would think. Going through the motions and giving it everything you got is two different things IMO.

I dont mind players wanting change, but at least let your team know about it early on. And dont try to blame management because in the long run you put yourself in that situation by not committing.

Yeah, That was my whole point about being sarcastic. And nothing against the Nets because he'd improve that team bigtime BUT I still would find it a reach to call them championship contenders. I do think the Lakers and Mavs would keep them in the conversation of championship contenders if he went there. He definitely would have made the Bulls favorites if they traded the right pieces BUT when he said he didn't want to come to Chicago that's when his motives of being on a winner started to come to question.

Aside from the Suns/Spurs in 2005, that was probably the tightest best-of-seven series I've seen that only went five games.
