Re: Game Discussion Thread 1/16/12 - 1/22/12
Frustrating game. Great defensive effort from the Lakers...in the fourth quarter. Prior to that it was a lot of ugly missed open jumpers from the Mavs. If we hit about 1/4 of those shots, we win this one easily. Not gonna beat many teams shooting sub-40%, especially a team with Kobe Bryant, Andrew Bynum and Pau Gasol on it.
At the same time, no one's gonna talk about it, but the Mavs should be applauded for their defense effort. The Lakers were taking off balance, contested jumpers all night. The Lakers stepped up the D in the 4th quarter, and I will say they played outstanding D in the fourth, particularly Pau on Dirk, but in the first 3 quarters we couldn't hit water from a boat.
Great shot from Fisher to win it though, not a huge fan of the dude, but he's a class act and gotta love a guy that's loyal to one franchise and willing to play second fiddle to superstars his whole career.
Mavs will be alright, as of lately, this was an abnormal shooting performance, hopefully it doesn't continue against Lob City and Utah on Wednesday and Thursday.
Does anyone else think Lamar Odom is too unselfish at times with Dallas? Its almost like he's trying to hard to make his teammates like him. Its probably more to do with he has virtually no confidence in his shot right now.NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers

lol for real. He was playing against Brendan Haywood and way undersized Ian Mahinmi. Pump the brakes there round mound.
I thought the Mavs did a pretty good job on Bynum though, the Mavs are obviously going to struggle defending elite centers, just like any team that doesn't have an elite center or Joel Anthony is going to.NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers

Their [DAL] defense looks pretty damn good regardless.
Lamar just looks lost man. He doesn't look like he cares either. Not good.Comment

Ahhh, Shaq just pulled the out my personal favorite line: "If (insert player here)is so good, then why isn't his team above .500?"
Good job, Mr. O'neal.#RespectTheCultureComment

Yeah, definitely excited about the defense though. We play the kind of defense that's pretty much always gonna give us a chance, even if we have a shooting night like tonight.NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers

Re: Game Discussion Thread 1/16/12 - 1/22/12
10-5 after 15 games, ill take it.
thus far im happy with the job Brown is doing. i love the focus on defense and getting the ball inside to Bynum (when kobe does let it happen lol).
he still doesnt have a set substitution pattern but ill give him a pass considering we have had multiple injuries and missed games. i wish Ebanks would get more time since Metta aint supplying nothing but oh well.
like Boltman stated, i love McRoberts hustle. it is much needed and once he finds his way on offense, his ability to knockdown 3's will open the floor for Bynum. if Josh and Blake can be consistent contributors off the bench, i think we can compete with anyone in the west."on hoping there is a PSN flash sale before Valentine's Day"
