Re: Game Discussion Thread 1/16/12 - 1/22/12
I came home, turned on the game thinking it was gonna be good. Only to be disappointed as the Heat were getting smashed by something like 20 points. The body language wasn't looking good on the Heat and I just tossed that up as a loss.
Turned it off. Played some playstation. Checked the score in my phone to see you guys were down something like 20 points. I was all like...

Yea it was pretty stupid last night. I get text messages at the end of the quarters. And to see that the Spurs were up by 15+. Then get another text showing the Heat were up by 15+. I thought espn updates was acting up again.
Bosh

LeBron

I mean people say so much about Bosh not being a part of the Big 3. When you watch games where Wade doesn't play. It really opens the court for LeBron and Bosh (especially Bosh).
Edit: I haven't seen much of the Spurs. But they got a good one in Leonard. I really like him. Should be a good one.Last edited by jeebs9; 01-18-2012, 08:48 AM.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

Leonard's legit...does a lot of things well.....
A rookie under Pop averaging 8 and 5, (13 and 7 since starting) and getting major defensive assignments, shows he has promise....
I look forward to seeing him grow as a playerComment

It's early guys. I wouldn't talk about a player until his 3rd year. Until then let them develop before pasting judgement.Hands Down....Man Down - 2k9 memories

Kyrie looked really good again last night. I'm gonna keep pounding that into the ground until the end of the season. If we don't address our need for a big man who can defend people down low and control the boards this offseason/trade deadline/whenever I'll lose my mind. Al Jefferson and Paul Millsap exposed that problem with our defense earlier, and David Lee just reinforced it last night.Browns

Re: Game Discussion Thread 1/16/12 - 1/22/12
Like tehova said that's way too late yo. We drafted Morris while we have Patrick Patterson, Luis Scola, and Jordan Hill (who is mainly playing Center but gets spot minutes). Morris is really a tweener but he
A) Is too slow and lacks ball handling and perimeter skills for Small Forward yet doesn't have ideal size for a Power Forward with an incredibly raw game
and
B) We've got Chase Budinger, Terrence Williams (who I want to stab with a rusty spoon) and Chandler Parsons (who I was really high on this pick think he'll be another steal like Air Bud) at Small Forward and I already mentioned our Power Forwards.
He can't outplay why the **** did we draft him again?
Oh and just for comparison Marcus Morris the number 14th pick in the draft has played 3 games for a whopping total of 17 minutes with a career high of 7 minutes in a blowout win over the Spurs. His career high is 3 points with an astounding 2 shots in total made and 8 missed, 4 of those misses being 3 pointers. He somehow has gotten 2 rebounds in those 17 minutes of total play and not surprisingly 2 fouls. He hasn't played since the 30th of December.
Get him the ****off my team. Our 38th pick is outplaying our 14th pick who just got injured playing in the D-League in a Wince Harder type play (injured 2 minutes in after taking a jumper).Last edited by RedSceptile; 01-18-2012, 12:50 PM.Comment
