Deron Williams is a very good defender, and having Tyson Chandler in an actual running offense alongside Amare would allow them a defensive and rebounding presence down low too.

You dont need a defensive identity under a D'Antoni offense, as I've covered seventy-five THOUSAND times now. You just need rebounding and a defender or two on the perimeter.

That team would be WELL on their way to being very good.

God, it sure is hard to break wholly inaccurate perceptions the media builds.

Screw very good, that team is supposed to be a championship contender. Deron isn't a good defender and I think he's a better PG running halfcourt sets. He would bring a nice dynamic with Amar'e bit they still wouldn't compete with the trio in South Beach and the depth of the Bulls (and Rose is better than him too).

Yep, Jennings outballed Melo tonight.

Won without Sjax. Sat out 2nd half in the last game and missed the team bus this morning, so, Skiles suspended him for tonight's game.

What was funny about calling Melo the best scorer in the league or to a lesser extent, one of? He may not be the most efficient scorer out there, but I'd have no problem calling him and I can't stand the dude.

FINALLY he gets some deserved recognition. Talk about extremely overdue. People absolutely destroyed the guy for years.

Why do people call him the best "pure scorer" or best scorer.. that never made sense. Durant? Kobe?

Because he can score in every way and is good at basically every offensive aspect of the game. He can shoot 3's, play from mid-range, post up, drive, finish with both hands, etc.

That's not to say guys like LeBron and Durant can't do the same, but both of them are still lacking in their post games.

Also, I'd say Kobe is the best "pure scorer". Melo would be a close second IMO.
