Speaking of only late in games, this is exactly why i dont trip on kobe taking all the shots down the stretch. Unless he is passing to fish, gasol, or to bynum when he is directly under the hoop, these other dudes aint worth a damn.

I agree. Look at how hesitant the rest of the players are in the clutch. Steve Blake in particular is scared to death to shoot and it feels like the whole team gets butterfingers too when trying to catch the pass.Comment

I don't know what to think. If I'm NYK I think the assumption is this will have to taper off a bit but definitely going to take it as far as possible. But it should only get better with Amar'e.
Melo doesn't remotely fit the equation. So... Then what...?

I don't know about that, but seriously, if Lin keeps it up and Carmelo comes back and seriously (and obviously) disrupts the flow being created....they need to explore trades for Carmelo.
Not sure who or where he could be traded to, but whatever.Comment

Oh and as much as people want it to, the Melo experiment isn't ending anytime soon nor will they even explore moving him.
Trust me, it'd be funny as **** to see him get moved to another team after that mess last year and how badly he wanted to be in NY, but it ain't happening.#RespectTheCultureComment

As soon as D' Antoni figures out he has Amare and not Al Harrington at PF, I think STAT will be fine...Comment

Either that, or just develop Lin, try to show him how to do work with STAT like Nash did with him, and let Melo do his thing separately.
Or, just find someone to take him for a collection of potential. But if I'm the Knicks brass, I can't help but feel we may have a diamond in the rough here. Lin has the fundamentals, it seems, so I doubt he'll disappear with the right coaches and work ethic. It's just a matter of D'Antoni and the Knicks realizing this, and maximizing it as much as possible.Comment
