Some degenerate gambler did it though. On the 100 to 1 odds btw.
Well is it really stupid if you have the money to do it?

For example, When Mark Cuban got fined that $75,000, I heard that - based on how much he's worth/how much money he has - fining him that 75 grand is like fining the average American 2 or 3 dollars.

Guess it's based on perspective. But my question is, why did his odds increase by 25% based on 5 games . Maybe it's not a big jump relatively, but it's kind of funny.

Considering Lin has absolutely no shot in hell of winning the MVP. Yes, yes it really is stupid. $2400 could be spent a lot better than placing a bet that has no shot of happening even if it's like a few dollars to you.

If the 100 to 1 odds were created when he was in the D league, jumping to 75 to 1 after he's seemed to carve his place in a starting lineup really isn't that crazy.

I'm not suggesting he will win it but assuming he somehow continued to put up these numbers, he would be the favorite to win the MVP because of his impact.

I don't think it's as far-fetched as you might think.

There is no way Lin wins MVP.

              No way whatsoever.

Well technically there is a possible way, but that way is near impossible. Those things don't even need to be mentioned because they would never happen.

                  Lin as an MVP?

This stuff is way worse than Tebow.

There won't be a ball for him as soon as Carmelo and Amar'e get back. There's no chance he averages 25 points with those guys back.

J-Lin Eastern Conference Player of the Week... Congrats kiddo

Lin led the Knicks to a 4-0 week, averaging 27.3 points, 8.3 assists and 2.0 steals. His 109 points over his first four career starts are the most by any player since 1976-77, and he became the first player in NBA history to tally at least 20 points and seven assists in each of his first four starts. Lin scored a career-high 38 points on Feb. 10, in a 92-85 win over the Lakers.

We're about at the halfway point of the season and Lin has only played in five games, we all know how the voters feel about that kind of thing. Even if he was to keep up this pace, there is no way in hell he leapfrogs LeBron. He's not keeping up this pace anyway so it's a moot point. If Lin wins the MVP this season then I better see more people bitching about it than all the guys bitching about Derrick Rose last year.

Jeremy Lin is a good player but all the hype is because he's Asian. Black players do what he does every night and don't get the same praise.
