Don't think Tyson Chandler should be in on his East squad and Luol Deng certainly should be there. Other than that, no problem with his list.

Re: 2012 All-Star Discussion Thread
Looks like Kevin Love's gonna be in the 3 point contest:

Every year the NBA decides to put some guy who is a scorer and makes a decent number of three's and then we get to watch and laugh as they put up single digits in the first round. Allen Iverson in 2000, Kevin Durant last year, I know Love is a good shooter, but 3 point contest material?NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers

Marc Gasol should not, in any way, shape or form be starting over Andrew Bynum. Clearly Bynum has established himself as the best center in the conference.Comment

Re: 2012 All-Star Discussion Thread
I was in real disagreement with some of the All-Star Game picks when they were announced on TNT. If I could decide, this is who I'd choose:
WEST:
G- Chris Paul
G- Kobe Bryant
F- Kevin Durant
F- Kevin Love
C- Andrew Bynum
G- Russell Westbrook
G- Monta Ellis
F- Rudy Gay
F- Blake Griffin
F/C- LaMarcus Aldridge
G- Steve Nash
F/C- Marc Gasol
EAST:
G- Derrick Rose
G- Dwyane Wade
F- LeBron James
F- Chris Bosh
C- Dwight Howard
G- Rajon Rondo
G- Joe Johnson
F- Carmelo Anthony
F- Josh Smith
F/C- Roy Hibbert
G- Deron Williams (...)
F/C- Andre IguodalaLast edited by K.So; 02-12-2012, 01:07 PM.Canucks | Packers | Blue Jays | Lakers | Raptors

Re: 2012 All-Star Discussion Thread
Well deserved for my man Ammo
Now, get Petro in the Dunk Contest and we're all set.
Anthony Morrow has been invited to take part in the 3-point shooting contest, joining teammates Deron Williams, who will be a member of the Eastern Conference squad for the All-Star game, and rookie MarShon Brooks, who was selected to play in the rookie-sophomore game.
“I’m really excited, man -- ecstatic,’’ Morrow said in a telephone interview this afternoon. “This morning my agent called me and told me they’re going to invite me. I’m really excited, and thankful for the opportunity.’’
After a slow start to the season, Morrow is hitting 42 percent from 3-point range. He hit a career-high eight triples and scored a career-high 42 points in a Feb. 3 loss to Minnesota, and is currently averaging 13.7 points per game. For his career, he is averaging 12.3 ppg and has shot 44.3 percent on 3-pointers.
He had hoped for an invite to the 3-point contest but wondered if the Nets’ poor record (8-21) would work against him, especially since Brooks and Williams were already picked to go to Orlando.#RespectTheCultureComment

Re: 2012 All-Star Discussion Thread
Here are my player predictions for the 3pt contest:
- Kevin Love (heard he will be in it somewhere)
- Ryan Anderson (I believe he confirmed it during a report)
- James Jones (reigning champ, and although he hasn't played much this season, he deserves the chance to defend the title)
- Anthony Morrow
- Brandon Jennings
- Stephen Curry
And here are my predictions for the four players to participate in the dunk contest:
- Blake Griffin
- Paul George
- Javale McGee (I think he would want to redeem himself even though he was clearly robbed last year ...)
- Alonzo Gee
Jeremy Lin for the Skills Challenge anyone?Comment

I really, really, really wish Dre Iguodala would give it another go because that 2006 dunk contest was insane. He pulled off some of the craziest dunks I've seen. It's too bad he got robbed.Browns

I thought Blake already came out and said he's not defending his title? And yeah, Iggy would be pretty sick to see again.Originally posted by G PericoIf I ain't got it, then I gotta take it

Re: 2012 All-Star Discussion Thread
Seriously NBA? What is with them and just the stupid All-Star decisions? The choices for the 3 point contest. Ryan Anderson I get that, he's repping the host city, plus he's a three point shooter, he's shooting 42 percent from three. However Kevin Love and friggin Joe Johnson? They're shooting 35 percent from three and aren't really three point shooters exactly. Meanwhile guys that are taking near or more the same amount of shots and hitting a higher percentage are being left out. Ray Allen has taken 109 shots and he's shooting 49 percent from three. Kyle Korver has taken 129 shots and he's at 44 percent. Hell Jodie Meeks has taken 134 shots and he's hitting at 43 percent. These guys are left out though for Kevin Love's 122 attempts and 36 percent shooting and Joe Johnson's 149 attempts and 35 percent shooting? WTF NBA? Seriously.Comment
