His original point still stands lol

And he feels that way because he has nothing worth talking about in that game.

    SVG is a windbag.

Brilliant way for the hosting city's head coach to promote an event during All-Star Weekend.

We rip players all the time for their lack of participation (see: NBA greats skipping the dunk contest).

But SVG just ****ting on a event in his own building? Not too bright.

Think it's ka-ching ka-ching kind sir. Ka-chung ka-chung just sounds like a rejected Marvel super villain.

This is some Grade A reaching right here my man LOL.

This is the same dude that damn near calls his OWN players in public on more than a few occasions so you think he really cares if he's dissing this event(which we ALL know is boring)? Especially an event that doesn't affect him in the slightest? Hell no lol.

Landry Fields, Allan Houston and Cappie Pondexter will represent NY in shooting stars competition at NBA Circus, er All-Star weekend.
Watch Landry play himself and mess this up.

I'm sure H20 still has that smooth jumper.

            How is that a reach?

He represents the Magic and the host city...even though he's not coaching. And he's just dumping on the events?

If Blake Griffin says, "Nah...not participating in the Rising Stars game because it's just a bore"...how would it strike you?

That's just one of the many reasons the ASW has gone to ****.

Who better to promote the weekend than the damn head coach of the host city?

            Instead he's like...eff it. That's craps boring...why bother.

Its the freaking Rookie-Sophomore game, who cares.

Its not like he's talking about the All Star Game itself.

Put it in a city that cares about the Weekend in its entirety then. The owners in Chicago said they don't want to host the ASG because it's too much and affects season ticket holders, etc.

I remember when All Star Weekend used to be fun.

Who cares? Maybe the people who can't afford to go to the Sunday night game so they take in the Saturday festivities.

Because he is talking about the Rookie-Sophomore game, man.

He never said the 3pt Contest or the Dunk Contest or the actual game itself is boring. I mean think about it, what does he gain from promoting this game? Seriously? We ALL know that game is boring, so he's really not saying anything that could damage him or the city of Orlando even in the slightest way possible.

True. Then why have it at all.

He's free to say whatever he wants but I remember the ASW in New Orleans a few years back and it was Festive as hell.

I remember when the ASG was in NY and it was crazy out here. Different events all around the city for the whole weekend.

SVG saying that stuff just strikes me the wrong way. And no different than players not wanting to participate in certain events is all I am comparing it to and saying.

Morrow just said that he's going to wear Drazen Petrovic's jersey for the 3 point contest.

                        That's awesome.

Quick question for consideration, does anyone except me think that maybe serge ibaka should get some all-star consideration? im watching the denver- okc and he has a triple double @eaded into OT (12pts, 11rebs, and 10 BLKS!!) i cant argue that his offensive doesnt need MAJOR work, but defensively this guys timing is incredible, shots he doesnt get to are altered and hes always around the rim.. i grew watching guys like mutumbo get picked, why not serge?
