Re: NBA Game Discussion Thread Apr 9th - Apr 15th

Heck, I'd love to see Bynum on the Bulls if the Lakers are that crazy to trade him without getting back Dwight Howard. Now, obviously, I wouldn't trade them Derrick Rose nor would I give up as much as if they were trading for Howard. But if Mitch Kupchak ever called Gar/Pax and wanted to deal Bynum to the Bulls, you best believe Gar/Pax will be on the phone as long as they could to close out a reasonable deal.

Next stop. Can the playoffs just start already?

Its ridiculous to criticize a dude for putting up 30 rebounds in a double digit win over the team thats ahead of you in the standings and only care about how much he scored, when he scored 16 points, in the post-game show?

I'm not even laughing at the scenario either.

You said the criticism was getting to be an overreaction and overboard, I think the criticism from us here was just fine in that situation. No mention of how he's excited to get the big win without Kobe or even how his teammates picked up the slack, no he just cares that he didn't shoot well. He's so immature.

He can be, it just seems a little immature when he was just compared to some of the greatest NBA players of all time by the interviewer and the first thing he wants to talk about is how he shot.

Why would you be stupid enough to compare him to all time greats in the first place

Did you watch the game? He did shoot the ball poorly. How uncommon is it for a player to say that after a poor shooting night? And I wasn't specifically just referring to the board, but to all these articles popping up and such as well. This whole immaturity thing grates on my nerves. I'm just going to sit back and watch him play, off court matters less too me.

Nothing to further disparage the man IMO...In fairness, we dont know what else was said after the censors cut off the rest of what he was saying. Lol

All time greats played for the Lakers
                        Bynum plays for the Lakers
Greats have gotten 30 rebounds playing for the Lakers

He just asked hows it feel to do something that some Laker greats have done. Is that so wrong? Its not like he was saying Andrew Bynum should be among them in terms of overall status.

None of those things puts you in the greats category. If it did, Kevin Love would be all up in Bill Russell's space, but come on man...thats foolishness and you know it is.

Yeah. Honestly, I think had it been an NBA darling like KD or Rose we'd get a different reaction along the lines of, "Thats why I like him man. He got 30 rebounds but he doesnt gloat about it because he shot poorly and holds himself to such a high standard. He wants to be a complete player. Hes so mature."

Again, he didnt say anything about Bynum being as good as those guys.
