Man if they suspend him on that BS....it looked like he tripped up on the ref's foot there. I need to check the DVR, but that looked incidental. I'm so sick of the NBA and that refs can touch dudes but you can't breathe on them stuff.

I saw the replay from two angles, he did trip but it wasn't near enough to make him push his chest out like he did. He used the trip as an excuse to bump him, there is no way around it. In slow mo it looks even more obvious.

Suspension incoming no doubt.

Hawks are still worthless. Celtics win in 5 now instead of sweeping the series like I predicted prior to today's game.

















Try different jokes yall. We been to the 2nd round three years in a row but dudes on here talk about the Hawks like they get sweep in the first round perennially.

Dudes give the Bobcats more credit than Atlanta.

Does it really matter if you got to the second round three years in a row instead of getting swept in the first round? They don't hand out rings at the end of each round.

Two years ago Atlanta beat a **** Milwaukee team.. in 7 games. 7 games. Proceeded to get destroyed and embarrassed by Orlando the next round...

Then you beat a **** Orlando team last year... then get the floor mopped against the Bulls...

What more do you want man.

The Hawks are a legit playoff team. They aren't much more than that. They'll never be with this group.

Ok, here's where I get lost at times when it comes to your logic and picking contenders/pretenders and whatnot:

You use the Hawks' recent history in the playoffs(which is fair BTW)to say they are trash or they're nothing more than a legit playoff team with no shot to go to the Finals yet you have a team like the Clippers as one of the teams to come out of the West and go to the Finals, even with VDN coaching. What do you base that on? The regular season that damn near everyone on here says is useless and whatnot? They haven't proved anything more than the Hawks have in the playoffs, so how are they a legit threat? Serious question BTW.

I understand Pack, totally fair on your part.

I'll try to keep it as simple as possible

1. We know what Atlanta is.

2. With LAC, we really don't know.

I think LAC is definitely not close to being favored to come out of the conference, but I'd put my house on them before I'd put my house on Atlanta, Orlando or Philly.

I'd roll the dice on LAC, Memphis and Dallas before I'd roll the dice on anyone in the East not named Chicago or Miami.

It's not necessarily what a team has proved or not proved. It's just how I view them going forward.

With my reply to Rexis, I was simply saying what kind of respect should we show Atlanta? They aren't anything special at all.

LAC hasn't proved anything, but like I said we still don't know what they're capable of with CP3.

Never said they were contending this year, but have you heard what people had to say about the team all year long? You'd think we got into the playoffs by chance reading the predictions/analysis of this Celtics series.

It's cool tho, we'll play and see what happens. When has a blogger/expert analyst ever decided the outcome of a game, moreover a playoff series.

I did say from the very beginning that Atlanta does match up well with Boston.. and that it would be a hell of a series.. So I for sure wasn't giving the series to Boston. Especially with Ray out..

Seriously though, I wasn't pumping up my team over nothing. The Bulls have made the playoffs every year since Derrick has been there and have made ACTUAL PROGESS in doing so.

You gotta believe the refs are going to be swallowing the whistle a lot more in game 2 after all the attention they got for game 1. BUT after watching that first game I cannot see the Knicks rebounding in game 2. I'll stick with a blowout in game 2 and the series still ends in 4 games

I think Atlanta takes game 2 if Rondo doesn't play. After that Boston takes the next two games and eventually wins the series.

As far as NY and Miami tonight... NY better come out like it's the Playoffs and not the pre-season.

Wade will ALWAYS be +1 on LeBron no matter if and/or how many they win together.
I can admit LeBron is a hell of a bball player. But he's no Kobe. He's no Jordan, he's not even Wade. Wade carried the Heat to their title back in 06. Shaq was falling apart, Zo did more damage coming off the bench in the finals against Dallas than Shaq did...down 2-0, Wade made it all happen. Wade went off...LeBron prefers to take off in playoff and finals games.

LeBron got one of these?

(Obviously I'm not being literal saying Wade did it all...broad generalization. But there was a reason he was the Finals MVP. Just as there's a reason LeBron shrinks when he's needed to put a team on his back.)
