I can admit LeBron is a hell of a bball player. But he's no Kobe. He's no Jordan, he's not even Wade. Wade carried the Heat to their title back in 06. Shaq was falling apart, Zo did more damage coming off the bench in the finals against Dallas than Shaq did...down 2-0, Wade made it all happen. Wade went off...LeBron prefers to take off in playoff and finals games.

    LeBron got one of these?

(Obviously I'm not being literal saying Wade did it all...broad generalization. But there was a reason he was the Finals MVP. Just as there's a reason LeBron shrinks when he's needed to put a team on his back.)
Now although I really like Wade you're crazy if you don't think this was Lebron's team this season. He carried this team through a ton of games this year (Wade only played 7 games in April thanks to some injuries while Lebron played in 13 of the 16 and poured in a ridiculous amount of points to go along with his 7rpg and 5apg). Sure Wade will have more championships than Lebron as long as they are on the same team but if Wade goes like he's been going as of late and Lebron plays like he has been playing as of late then it's Lebron who carried the team on his back this post season. And you can't simply compare players based on their Championship rings (see Stacey King who has more rings than Wade).

They are saying chandler is feeling a lot better and will play tonight. They need him to be a beast to have any chance.

I understand Wade had a few injuries, and LeBron scored more points. But LeBron still jumped on Wade's bandwagon to attempt to get himself a title. Because everyone knows without a title you're nothing. See the 06-07 season...Wade killed himself and carried the Heat past Dallas the prior season to get that title, and missed massive time in 06-07, paying for it. You think he wouldn't do the same again? Besides, even though they lost last year to Dallas, who showed up each game? Where was LeBron? I can't say I have faith LeBron would put himself out there and "give it his all" like Wade did to get his title. I guess all I'm saying is Wade is a team leader. LeBron is just a really good player (most of the time).

Well tonight we get to see game 2 of his potential championship run and we can re-evaluate in a month and a half

Re: Eastern Conference Playoffs Discussion Thread 1st Round

Yesterday on the radio, I must of heard those same Bulls fans who thought we should trade Rose when he was out of those stretch of games in the regular season. NOW, they’re talking about how this Bulls team is comparable to the 2004 Pistons team. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?
            *
First, let’s get something straight, if you look at the starting five of that team, every starting player at their respective position during that time were top-5. Yes, there were no superstars on that team but that’s not the whole story. This current Bulls team without Rose, Jokiam Noah is the only player in their starting lineup who is top 5 at their respective position. And even in some sense, that can be argued. BUT for the sake of clarity, I’ll give Noah a ‘top 5 center’ tag for the way he’s played this season.
            *
Also, let’s keep in mind. That same core of players on that 2004 Pistons team had to endure losing in the conference finals and semi-finals the previous two years. AND when they got to the Finals, they were fortunate enough to have Kobe Bryant on their side because Bryant basically sabotaged the Lakers championship run that year. Kobe should have been named Finals MVP for the Pistons.
            *
As for the current Bulls, I’m gonna ride with them for the duration. If they can get to the conference Finals and take the Heat to 6-games, that’s more than what I expect from this team. Now if they go beyond that? They really over-achieved.

I think you could put Deng in the top five 3's in the league. I'm probably forgetting somebody but off the top of my head for starting 3's in the league I got Bron, Melo and I'm drawing a blank at who else is at the 3 that's better than Luol.

Actually, I can go with that. That's if you consider Deng better than Iggy and Rudy Gay. And the one guy who you shouldn't be drawing a blank on is Kevin Durant.

Can't believe I couldn't think of KD. I'd definitely take Lu over Iggy though. Gay is a toss up.

It depends if you favor Luol's defense more or Gay's offense.

I'm still dumbfounded at how dumbfounded the team was about the Heats' defensive approach to Melo. Looking forward to seeing how Melo & Woody respond tonight.
